Re: 6 Man STT Turbo - Heads Up Battle
0:59 K7o in the BB - Calling in the BB with K7 even with great odds is a quick way to the poor house. I should have gave it up then. It wasnt costing me much but heh it could have cost me a lot more if a King had come or a 7 high flop to his overpair. I like to bet at flops with a pair on them. His small reraise made me suspicious. maybe it meany he had hit hard but i think he was really just testing the ater and to see if i had anything behind my raise. I made a small raise back as if to say i have a ten and i want you to hang about at a cheap price (i think anyhow - maybe it is just madness) what am i putting him on? an over pair or an under pair. anyhow it would be hard for him to continue without a 10 in his hand and with 2 on the flop i think there was only about a 9% chance that he had a 10. I half bet the pot on the turn as i was wantingg him to think i was scared of a straight draw to beat my 10's. He folded. I reckon he had JJ or maybe even 99. what you think?

Re: 6 Man STT Turbo - Heads Up Battle
3:33 - 53o on the button - standard button raise although maybe a bit early to start trying to steal pots especially with 5 high. as the hand ended up im suprised the SB never reraised me. I think he should have. Dream flop for me or so i thought and all i was thinking was 'how do i get as much money from these dudes as i can'? small bet just to keep the pot moving up and one call and a fold. Im putting him on a flush draw or maybe a 6 with something. that said again he would have raised with a 6 on the flop i suppose. Flush draw it was then to me or maybe even a straight draw. when the ace hit i hoped it was a good card for me. If the fella had A6 i was gonna get all his chips. the 10 of spades stopped me in my tracks and he should have lead out a pot sized bet or as close as imo. I know he was going for the check raise but i was wary and im glad i checked in behind. He could/should have had all my chips that hand.

Re: 6 Man STT Turbo - Heads Up Battle
6.00 - A8s UTG - Loosey goosey. I think i felt good after not losing all my chips previous and i was quite prepared to attack the table. I tend to enjoy 'playing' too much when im in company and this hand might well show this. Ive a feeling im gonna look bad here and very lucky. Maybe there was some method in my madness. ill have a watch...right standard continuation bet and just a call. I was a little scared until he lead out when the board paired. If he had a jack he would have checked and let me bet again. I put him on a draw and he was trying to set his price to make it. I move all in with ace high and he folds. result.

Re: 6 Man STT Turbo - Heads Up Battle
Komp, that hand when you went all in with pkt 2's im interested, although you had him covered should you have been beat (chances of him hitting with very possibly two over cards) you would have been in a very weak position, was that the right play, dont know if the other guy was tight or loose and obviously it was bubble time for him.

Re: 6 Man STT Turbo - Heads Up Battle
I noticed that George. I think it was the wrong play truth be told. I was in all in mode. He could have called me with 43 and been just a slight underdog. I agree it was a bad play especially at the time of the tournement.

i don't think that was a bad play, he was tight and wouldn't have called without a big hand, profitable play in a long run probably and deffo right play agains that guy imo |

an all-in call with 8h7h was bad in my opinion as it was more then half of your stack I think, you probably never good there ( and you wasn't) and you can get yourself shortstacked, you can always steal - grind them down as they were both tight and wait for better hands to call all-in when HU completing BB with hands like 42o is bad IMO, either raise or fold, I'd fold it. there was quite few hands like that but I guess you were bored and wanted to play a little ![]() other then them few hands i really liked it from the start, 53o hand a bit lucky with the flush draw coming in but the other guy played it badly, nice check behind btw. good aggressive play and some good lay downs as well , well done! |

Re: 6 Man STT Turbo - Heads Up Battle
Thanks kris i really appreciate the feedback. I will go over your points later today (its 6am here and ive done a ltr of gin and im on my way out to a disco would you belive)
Ill check that 87 hand out and also have a look at my heads up play completing blinds etc I think you may have just taught me something important there. I managed a final table today (662 entrants) i recorded just the hands i played. there is a lot to discuss there but the vid is too long at over an hour, Maybe folks will have a look. i will go through it and make some time markers for decisions that i was a little baffled by. your welcome to comment. I think the title of the vid will be 'MTTT - the yo yo effect' ![]() I know there's 2 real bad hands and i was raped by someone who had me in their pocket. anyhow all that tomorrow when the bugger gets uploaded. Be great if folks can comment as i really just want to improve my game. I will add more when i aint so pissed kris and i dont have the desire to go out and be the centre of attention to thai ladies ![]() thanks again kristobal time......flexes like a whore....fallls wanking to the floor |

Re: 6 Man STT Turbo - Heads Up Battle
Im still here kris
im finishing this gin before i go. Back home in kilmarnock scotland im known to 'stoat' about town pissed before midday and thailand gives me the perfect opportunity. Truth be told i stayed up till 4am Uk time (11am thai) playing poker and going through that barry teaneubaum vid for the post. when i got up i just played poker all day. starting to enjoy 18man turbos. fcuk these cnuts sure know how to fold. Its a case of 'any two cards' push and yip you guessed it, they fold. Had an ok day. I might just hang on till this mtt vid is up. some good comments (i think) on the way. I learnt nothing from my last mtt and i was still reraising with 62 (sooted this time ) I did calm down a bit though Actuallly i was just here to say that i like playing Time by bowie on the piano. My brother is setting up my desktop back home to my new yamaha electric piano and im gonna have fun writing poker songs and stuff. fcuk im rambling again. 89% of this uploaded....my fav bowie song is rock and roll suicide. album wise you cant beat Hunky dory imo. anyhow back to the poker. I cant review what you said as my uploading of the vid is stopping me from viewing the vid on this thread. I really wanna see this 87 hand. i will sort screencasting out for folks and i hope that some people, not yourself kris really, but beginners can start putting up their vids and we can all have a look and laugh analyse and help their game. Lets make TDP the place where people can axctually play the game and if they cant then they will be made to be able to play the game. |

Managed to FINALLY find a hotel with a semi decent connection (i took the room next to the wireless router) I had a good day yesterday and managed to get my bankroll back up (nearly) to what i had when i came to thailand. Im back playing 30 man stt's. Won 1, 2nd in another and then ...wait for this....4 left, i was chip leader about 19,000, 2nd chip leader to my left with about 17,000 other 2 had about 2k each. guess who got into a blind battle with 75 and lost? aye thats right daft balls here ![]() |
