Re: $2 6-man MTT Freezeout
1) AJo - you can't see the fellas pair of kings. My pre-flop raise was standard enough. The reraise was a worry. first hand of the tournie. i think my call was debateable. Onto the bet on the flop. What was i up against? JJ QQ KK AK? I was gonna say that he would only call with AK and have me beat. suppose i needed to know what i was up against. the Turn soon told me. I suppose the check was the play there allowing him to go all in. I got lucky but thats what happenes.
2) KJo - Standard raise on the button and also if no one has entered a pot i would raise it up with this sort of hand. i wouldnt call raises with it well ones from an easrly position. I thought the bb was just playing back at me. A good flop for me and i dont think theres nothing wrong with my reraise. Should i have just called and tried to extract more you think? possibly. the hand played ouit a bit fast. i think it all went as it should.
AA (01.33mins) - First thing i notice is a weak bet on the flop i think. lol i was beat on the flop. bnever realised that. the fella would have been a bit pissed of seeing my hand lol After that hand it was s imilar scenario to the KJ earlier with me raising on the buton and getting played back at. Actually nah look at the stack size there. he went all in. i was a fool to call it and deserved to get beat. Playing small pairs are only effective when youve got fold equity on your side. I think that even J8 unsuited would be w 50/50 coinflip. he wouldnt have needed much to put me in and if he had a pair of 8's then he was a 4/1 fav. nbot worth it. bad play i think
Slow playing my flopped full house with 53 semed fair. My bet on the end might have been too much. i think i was trying to get someone with an ok jack calling and making up for all the money i might have lost on earlier streets.
The AK hand didnt look well played on the flop. a half poit sized bet was too low. it shoulf have been at least a pot sized bet to give folks the wrong odds to call on their flush and straigh draws. Noo hold on a sec. that aint a half pot sized bet that was me bloody all in. What was i thinkign there? Up against the big stack. I cant explain that. man i didnt even have a made hand. He could call me with any small pair or j. a pot sized bet would have been enough to see where i was at. actually no maybe a 3/4 bet. i think ive played this bad. Actually i remembe this now. I shat it when he called and then laughed out loud when i saw what he had called me with. aye i got lucky there and i should have been out really.
I forget what i was up against in the KK hand but it was a nice pot to win. I now had a big stack and it was starting to get about the bubble time and thats why i was raing with the K6 etc. I could have tighned up a bit maybe. If the bb was a tight player i would raise with anything almost.
J10o (05:01) - I was bumping it up with any hand that could stand up and i think i had to make the call when re-raised by Angry (hello Angry) aye 3.5/1. I had the chips to call too. What a fantastic river for me and a heartbreaker for angry lol. I got lucky and my stack was getting bigger.
I will continue this in a bit. Ned a break.
