Re: Key Skills To Playing Poker
Agree with all apart from avoiding traps komp. Sometimes they are unavoidable, especially when you both have a big hand. The others in a simple sense are true though.

9. Avoiding Betfair Poker no matter how much money they throw at you for free. You'll get dealt nothing but garbage.

Re: Key Skills To Playing Poker
You sound bitter Spacecat and you know thats not true. Maybe they just hate you
![]() Just to mention the avoiding traps Scottie. I was just thinking on a basic level like everyone checking when an ace flops and then everyone suddenly thinking that suddenly the ace doesnt exist and betting 2nd top pair like a madman only for someone to show an ace at a later street |

Re: Key Skills To Playing Poker
Thinking the ace doesn't exist is a very nasty trait komp
I understand what you mean though, what you will see sometimes is a player (good or not) call down with an ace. If they are good, it usually means they are pot controlling (with a hint of inducing a bluff, not the same thing as trapping imo) as they still only have one pair. |

Re: Key Skills To Playing Poker
I fell for it till it was pointed out to me i think Scottie
![]() another key skill for a beginner is on how to close the game window after youve been knocked out making a stupid call. the fear of seeing 'LOL' and 'What a donk!' is enough to depress any poker noob and it is a key skill imo. |
