First prize, a seat at this: Virgin poker has just announced that they will be hosting their first ever ‘Virgin Poker Festival’ in Birmingham, UK on 25th/26th November (venue TBA).Qualifiers will run throughout August and September on Virgin Poker

Main Event -£105 two day deep stacked main event- £5,000 added to prize pot
(plus loads of Virgin bounties including flights to Las Vegas)
Low buy-in side events with added value plus loads more TBA…

2nd and 3rd will receive some share of $50 from Virgin on top of whatever I can arrange from the TDP kitty....meeow

Mick I'm pretty sure Virgin are offering a $210 seat to some event as our first prize, other than that I don't know any details, I think the total they were giving was $250 so that would leave $40 to be split between 2nd and 3rd. Mrs DD has all the info but she's out shopping (AGAIN!!) at the moment.

Anyway, as Mick says, roll up roll up, get your names in for what promises to be a great wee league.

Well, my advice to DD was to make sure she had sufficiant numbers this month before arranging anything with Virgin, but her being the wee trusting type was sure all the TDP'ers would turn out in their droves. If this all gets set up again and we don't manage to fill the table I'd guess it'll be our last favour from Virgin, plus we'll look a bit silly asking for a league then no bugger playing.

edit: I forgot to mention something important. I think we're moving from the last system of scoring. Can anyone remember how we did it before? I know there are threads about in here but.... you know. Just if you remember.

I'm a real mug. You can have me! It's almost certainly 8pm, raisin. We don't need to change the scoring system, ed. I'd mentioned it in passing as I think alien etc. worked quite hard on coming up with the fairest system possible previously but I wasn't playing then so can't comment but I'm sure a few current regulars were and might be able to add something.

Personally I don't mind if the scoring system changes Mick, last time there was some debate about the points distribution for 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc. I think it's important that the winner gets a fair chunk more than 2nd though to make winning worthwhile.
