Re: Virgin Festival this weekend
Yes we are getting excited here too.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone, some I have already met and others I have yet to meet. It will be a great weekend. I intend to stagger regardless of how long I'm in the tourney.
We are at the Express Holiday Inn which is half a stagger away.
Don't forget your photo ID's everyone who's going along.

Re: Virgin Festival this weekend
Its probably fell on the most difficult weekend of the year for me, and I've got childcare isues I'm still trying to finalise due to wifey and parents all being away :aargh
Hopefully that will be sorted, but it'll be touch and go that I get there on time as I'm heading up at about 12 pm..... Looks like I'm on 'mi own this time as I can't get any mates to come with me.. Oh well - I'm sure you'll be nice to me..
Booked into the Travelodge - posh bloke that I am..
Hopefully see you there

me and Rej too ,
I can't wait to Saturday, never ever thought that i'll be playing live poker with all of you guys - a year and a half ago I thought I'll be playing online $5 MTT's all my life and from time to time post a rare win in a ''Bragging rights'' thread ... well it's still far from being a serious poker player but qualifying to the events like that is a step forward IMO. Is anyone bringing TDP t'shirts for all of us?

Re: Virgin Festival this weekend
We have had 4 recent drop outs for the Virgin Poker Festival in Newcastle this weekend! Therefore tomorrow (Thursday 10th April) at 8.45pm (BST) Virgin are running a ‘Festival Last Chance’ tourney (€15 +€1.50)!
We have just 4 tickets up for grabs so the maximum number of entrants will be just 49! Registration starts at 8pm (BST) 45 minutes before the start of the tourney so you will need to be quick on the mouse to avoid disappointment.

Yes looking forward to it also, be good to meet everyone. Kris are you and Rej still ok for bringing a few case of Vodka? Oh and some red cabbage.
See you all Saturday.
No more mention of t-shirts from old komp Kris, so looks like a no for wearing TDP custom clothing.

I think we can make our presence felt without them Kris, don't you?. but not necessarily in that order.

sure Dan, it just looks like wasted chance of free adverstising, briniging new players - members/posters in, just imagine 8 players wearing same t-shirt ( out of 220) it would have to get noticed , a winner's picture in PokerPlayer with thedailypunt logo ... now the only way to get noticed is to win that forum S'n'G...

Yes but when every other forum is doing it and no doubt better than ours would have been, it's better for us to stand out as the drunken, abusive bastards dancing on the tables, don't you think?

Well that would be a good idea, but, I tend to lose vision after 30 pints.

Re: Virgin Festival this weekend
Good luck all those playing in this.
I've decided that I can't miss this so hopefully I'll be there some time Sat evening to rail and meet you all.
And watch out for the guy with the camera - he can strike at the most unexpected moments
