Re: Boxing - Calzaghe vs. Lacy
Thanks guys. Nice to know I wasn't losing the plot in upping my stake from 5 to 20pts in the course of this thread.
Lacy proved to be all hype, and Calzaghe taught him how to box. Well done to anyone else on Joe. |

Re: Boxing - Calzaghe vs. Lacy
May as well resurrect this old thread as it has a Calzaghe title, rather than make a new one.
I see Calzaghe is going to fight Kessler in 3 months time. Hes 39-0 with 29 KO. As most people know Calzaghe also undefeated 43-0 and 32 KO. So should be a sweet contest and I notice a couple of bookies already have odds up. Tote go 4/7 Calzaghe 13/10 Kessler but Expekt go 10/11 Calzaghe 4/5 Kessler So Expekt actually got Kessler as favourite, what are peoples views on that. I dont know what other books are gona come out with but I would think theyd be more along Totes line and 10/11 Calzaghe would definitely one for me to back nearer the time. |

Re: Boxing - Calzaghe vs. Lacy
I havent seen anything confirmed...
Quote:
Ive taken some of the 10/11 as Calzaghe is continually being underrated by all corners outside the UK. |

Re: Boxing - Calzaghe vs. Lacy
Hmmm. Today's Bettingzone Market Moves:
1220: Ladbrokes punters are backing Mikkel Kessler to defy the odds and unify the super-middleweight division ahead of his fight with Joe Calzaghe at the Millennium Stadium this weekend. The Dane - holder of the WBA and WBC straps - is the 11/8 outsider, with WBO king Calzaghe 4/7 to extend his unbeaten record. Ladbrokes spokesman Nick Weinberg said: "It appears that for the first time in a long while we'll be joining fight fans at the Millennium Stadium in cheering on their man." Meanwhile Ricky Hatton is 13/8 to beat Floyd Mayweather and claim the WBC welterweight title when they clash in early December. Weinberg added: "The patriotic punt is well and truly underway. We initially went 7/4 about Hatton but had to cut him in the face of strong support." |
