Re: World Darts
Barring a real surprise and someone hitting top form I think Whitlock at 5/4 to win his quarter is nailed on. Lewis, Hamilton, THornton, Jones etc are all good darts players but over the longer legs Whitlock should be too strong.
If he wins his quarter then my main outright bet is already covered |

Re: World Darts
Just bunged it on now as I ain't time to get into this contest yet, Jones v Shpeherd at the moment, my memory tells me Shepherd should be good for this.
For the title though I can't bet against Taylor, I know he's a yr older but he's as steady as a rock with plenty of bottle, thats what matters in this contest, I've seen plenty of great players have some blinding games only to fail when it matters, most roll over as soon as they know they're playing Taylor. |

Re: World Darts
Whats happened to shepherd, he used to be a pretty steady player now it looks like he's either sniffing prit sticks or developed Turrets, the guy needs to go back to basics and slow down as he's trying to play above his station, the lad still has a lot to learn and I'm suprised nobody has told him so.
Good and well deserved win for Jones, nothing special but just consistant. |

Re: World Darts
Bit of data to go on now and tomorrow there looks a few decent opportunities.
Webster v Baxter looks a tight one, might usually go with Baxter when he's 2/1 in this matchup but better chances elsewhere I think. Dont think Nicholson will have many problems v Wright. Don't think Thornton should be dog v Hamilton - Hamilton looks badly out of touch at the moment and averaged under 80, while Thornton seems his usual average best. I'd make him fav here. Hylton can beat Lloyd and was impressive in Round One, odds look a bit big there. Same for Dudbridge v Lewis, I dont think its as clear cut as the odds suggest. 3pts Thornton @ 2.2 2pts Hylton @ 3.55 1pt Baxter @ 2.98 0.5pts Thornton/Hylton/Nicholson/Dudbridge @ 33.41 |

Re: World Darts
I've also backed Thornton to win Beanie. If Thornton can keep the heid and hit some doubles early doors then he should be too strong for an underfiring Hamilton.
Hamilto is the better player imo but has lost form and agree Thornton should nt be under dog |

Re: World Darts
Just how bad was Taylor the other night? Havent seen much of it tbch and with Bristow saying he wont win it, doesnt augur well for the big guy! Having said that, id giver per laursen a game, and the 1.06 on Taylor is surely better than the bank pays at the current interest rates?

Re: World Darts
For tomorrow Dolan looks overpriced to beat Newton...Dolan was far more impressive in r1 and looks in good nick.
Brown and sujlovic are up against big names but are playing well enough to cause problems, esp as wade and Jenkins look under par(altho wade will undoubtedly up his game if he has to.) 2pts Dolan @ 3.7 1pt Brown @ 3.45 0.5pts Sujlovic @ 10.5 |
