Re: GAA 18th/19th July
Galway to beat Cork in the hurling looks the bet for me this weekend, this is the weakest Cork team that we have seen in a long time, they have been slipping away with the past two years and the strike antics and all that, has done their cause no good at all either, Galway who fell to Cork at this stage last year, look better this year and will not make the same mistake twice. Galway looked to match Kilkenny for most of their recent game and maybe it was the fitter team that came through on that night and the team with better reserves to call on. Here in Waterford (who meet the winners of this) we are already talking about the next round when we will face Galway so I feel the general opinion all round is that Galway are going to come through. The bookies are keeping it tight as they seem to take tradition and stats into account and you can never write Cork off. But I strongly feel as does most, that Galway will win.
GALWAY to win - EVS (general) Of the other games,I would go for, some of course are obvious, Derry, Kerry, Wexford, Down, Tyrone, Mayo & Limerick. |

Re: GAA 18th/19th July
Fully agree regarding Galway - should be odds-on in my opinion.
Bet of the day is Derry @ 8/15 Will Hill tb a struggling Donegal. They are trading a fair bit lower on betfair. Donegal were very poor when beating Clare and Carlow, 2 div 4 teams in the last 2 rounds and will surely be well beaten by a resurgent Derry here. Derry -2 @ 9/10 skybet looks good also though you might get a bit better on betfair. Previews of this weekends games: RTÉ Sport: GAA - GAA Championship Previews |

Re: GAA 18th/19th July
Irish, now are'nt Donegal the right pack of cnuts!
they f'd u up by the look of things, like I said Galway were my big bet, but I had Derry in a small accum with the other teams I mentioned, Donegal f'd me up a few weeks back when Antrim stuffed them, they are totally unpredictable, its hard to believe too that Wicklow who were below Waterford in Div 4 are as far as they are, Ulster football seems to be slipping down the rankings by the looks of it, they only have one quality team now, Tyrone naturally.I expect Tyrone to piss all over Antrim tomorrow and I think Mayo will beat Galway in the Connacht final, I know they have both played some weak teams so far in this competition, but Mayo's form in the Championship and League is better on paper, and from what I have seen, they look the better team, they are also tipped up to win by the 'experts'! ![]() Mayo / Tyrone double is 6/5 Stanjames. |

Re: GAA 18th/19th July
Suir Thing..yeah Donegal are fair unpredictble alright!! ah well, cant win em all!
Wicklow's performances show that Waterford could do half-decent if they got an easyish draw for once rather than getting Cork and Meath! Galway next, Waterford look huge odds @ 11/4! Ladbrokes have had to cut Galway into 2/5, not sure what they were before that but they are showing as being cut on oddschecker. Yes Galway are worthy faves but 11/4 seems massive, Waterford have the extra week's rest also. |
