MLB - Major League Baseball 2006

Well guys I start one thread for all Baseball stuff, because it isnīt hugh rated and we could stint the thread jungle in the other sports section.

18/06/06

Colorado Rockies at St. Louis Cardinals

St.Louis ace is back. Chris Carpenter is healthy after a shoulder injury back to pitch. Heīs the starter at home versus the Rockies from Colorado. The other starter is Josh Fogg. He played 9 times versus the Cardinals and won only one clash. Carpenter play one times versus Colorado and won.
St.Louis is the leader of the National League Central Division, Colorado the second worse team in the western Division of the NL.Cardinals played 14 times versus a western team and lose only 5 times. The Rockies are in every state in draw. home 16-16 ; away 18-18 ; vs. central 8-8. Non saying stats for me. St.Louis are collect much runs this season and I believe in an over 8 runs this match and a victory by St.Louis Cardinals

St.Louis Cardinals to win
more than 8 runs in this match

Re: MLB - Major League Baseball 2006

Detroit Tigers at Chicago Cubs

The Cubs had 5 loses in a row. Three times versus Houston and two times versus the Tigers. The last defeat yesterdays night 9-3. Today is the third match between both teams. Starter Rogers won his 199th match and tonight it could be the 200th.

Detroit AL central 1st 25-10 on the road
Cubs NL central 5th 12-19 at home

Kenny Rogers start for the Tigers, Mark Prior for the Cubs.

I believe that Rogers and the Tigers win tonight the third match versus the Chicago Cubs.

Detroit to win again

Boston looks good later today against a struggling Braves team, even with Smoltz on the hill.

That's why I hate taking teams on double digit winning streaks

Re: MLB - Major League Baseball 2006

Game: Detroit Tigers @ Milwaukee Brewers
My Pick: Detroit Tigers

Detroit is 16-5 against lefties in 2006, including 10-2 away from home. They own the league's top pitching staff as far as ERA is concerned. They're ranked #6 in bullpen ERA. And, they're a solid 9th in the league in hitting. At 28-10, the Tigers are the league's "Road Warriors", and they're currently on a 7-game road win streak! Nate Robertson has been a road warrior in his own right. He's 4-0 in 6 road starts with an ERA of 3.00, allowing just 12 ER in 36 IP! Capuano for the Brew Crew has pitched well, but I don't think he'll have enough against the Tigers today.

Detroit at +150 on the RL looks kinda tempting too.

The Tigers are going for the series sweep and they have an 7 game road winning streak going. Hopefully the Brewers don't play streak buster today.

Re: MLB - Major League Baseball 2006

Also the Angels from LA and the San Francisco Giants have an early match today. 3.35 pm local time they meet in San Francisco at the AT&T Park. The Giants have won the first 2 clashes versus the Angels 2-1 and 3-2.

LA Angels 4th AL West 31W / 40L
SF Giants 3rd NL West 36W / 35L

The Giants had 9 Homeruns in the last 7 days / LA had only 4 homeruns and the probably starters are Jeff Weaver (Angels/ 3-9) and Noah Lowry (Giants/ 2-5).Weaver allowed 17 Homeruns this season, Lowry only the half 8!All signs are on Giants win versus the Angels. Lowry looks better than Weaver and I think that the starter is an important person in Baseball

Giants to win
under 8,5 runs in this match
