Nascar - Samsung 500

Back to the faster cookie cutter tracks this week, as the Nascar boys move on to Texas. Basically its a case of looking at the similar tracks of Atlanta, California and to a lesser degree Las Vegas, to the pointers for this event.
What that tells us is that Carl Edwards won 2 of those races and was on his way to a 3rd victory when he blew his engine. With his car dialled in on this type of track, it really is difficult to look elsewhere for the winner. I make him an 11/2 poke (should be slightly bigger when other books go up, hopefully).
Of the other drivers, I feel that Kyle Busch and Dale Earnhardt will be in the hunt, while I have a strong hunch that Jeff Burton will go well again this week. Will be very interested in him if I can find some 20/1 or better.
I would also like to give a nod at David Ragan if the usual 100/1 is put up for him. He is driving the no6 car which Mark Martin had a lot of good fortune with on this type of track. The youngster has impressed me this year and a win is not far away.
3*** Carl Edwards (6/1 or better)
2** Kyle Busch (8/1 or better)
1* Jeff Burton (20/1 or better)

Well in practice and Qualifying last night, Edwards proved he has the car to beat. As suggested Dale Earnhardt and Kyle Busch look to have decent cars as well

A win for Edwards (Busch finished 3rd). Onto Phoenix next week.

Excellent stuff !! I missed out on last week's tip (even after convincing myself I would be on it), so I definately wasnt gonna miss this one...I managed to get on Edwards @ 11/2
