Indy League - Gainsco Auto Insurance 300

The league has taken a big influx of new cars as the Cart and Indy leagues have joined forces, so a few teams have moved over from Cart (with their drivers). This week sees a 26 car field, but I do feel it can be narrowed down to 3-4 drivers who should be able to dominate.
1^st on the list is Dan Wheldon. Brit driver has won this race the past 3 years, and still has the backing of one of Indy’s powerful teams. Castroneves, Dixon and Kaanan round off the best drivers from the best teams.
We should know more once the Practice sessions kick off (3pm Friday). There are some decent drivers in the field from the Cart series, but unless the new teams are up to beat with the Indy cars (doubtful) they may struggle in the early weeks.

Well Wheldon has dominated the practice sessions today, along with team mate Scott Dixon. Feel that both will prove very difficult to beat. Impressed with Ryan Briscoe efforts in one of the new cars, and he may be worth looking at if a big price can be found each way

Well Wheldon's crash in qualifying and subsequently starting at the rear (of a very large field), cost him dear, as he rolled in 3rd. Team mate Scott Dixon however did the business, and the 1st thing to glean from this race, is that as expected the new teams have a bit of catching up to do, as the race was dominated by the old guard.
