NCAA College Football 2007/2008

Here we go again...The college football season kicks off this Thursday. I'm pumped and ready to kick some bookie ass

Right now, the first play I'm looking at is LSU -17 (I may buy down a half). The Tiger D should keep MSU in single digits. The offense, with a stable of stud running backs and a new offensive coordinator looking to get things rolling, should be able to wear down MSU and open up a nice can of whup-ass. LSU just may make it to the National Championship game this year.

And thank god there's only 1 more week of NFL pre-season left!!!

Tomorrow Navy is a very good play. Temple is horrible and Navy's option offense will roll!!!

Saturday, I love Akron -5. I really can't believe this line is that low. Being a small school, Akron doesn't get much hype, but they've recruited some decent players and their defense is good this year. Certainly good enough to shut down an Army team that has lost most of last years starters to graduation. Army virtually needs to replace their entire offensive line and defense. Army can think about a win next week when they host Rhode Island (no gimme though).

I'll have around 5 plays for tomorrow. Right now I LOVE Central Michigan -3. I also like Boise State over Pac-10 Washington.

I'll also be playing Boston College -13.5. I was really impressed by this BC squad on both sides of the ball last week. Their offense spread out Wake Forest and QB Matt Ryan picked its secondary apart. The Eagle's D isn't dominant but I thought they played hard last week, allowing just one offensive score. NC State lost at home to an average C. Florida team and are without its leading rusher Toney Brown who has been lost for the season. They also have an unsettled situation at quarterback that the Eagles defense should be able to capitalize on. BC has a completely new scheme on offense, so it's not likely that Tom O' Brien's familiarity with the team will be much of a factor. The Eagles should roll at home in this one.

I've been looking at this TCU/AF game all day and I'm staying away from playing TCU. Coming off that big letdown loss against UT last weekend, this could be a major let down spot. Plus, there's too much uncertainty around whether star running back Aaron Brown will play. He didn't last week and TCU only rushed for 43 yards. Like me initially, the public seems to be all over TCU and this has me shying away.

I see this game going either way...so if anything is played the under looks like the safest bet.

Maybe I'll just wait for Okie St. on Friday and my weekend plays.

Friday night Okie State at Troy...from someone I trust

Troy going for 21 consecutive home-opener wins. They have only shown up for 30 minutes in both of their games (2nd' against Fla and 1st' against Ark). I like em strong outta the gates, if their D can stick w/ Adarius Bowman they have a shot to win outright. OSU is already beat up a bit, QB's and RB's not playing at full strength OTR...
Zac Robinson has only won 1 game OTR, and Bobby Reid hasnt won any.
Omar Haugabook isn't overly impressive but i have no problem putting money on this senior from Troy, he said his offense is going to be a bit more aggressive in the first half tonight.

I love it when a game is capped perfectly. Nothing like a +355 winner, not only did Troy win, but they kicked the crap outta Okie State...41-23

I hope more people will start looking at this thread and the NFL one...lots of money will be made this football season.

Early lean for this Satuday. I really like Arkansas -6 over Kentucky. KU coming off the biggest football win in their history--over Louisville. KU still has no defense and Ark had over 500 yards against Bama. Look for ARK to run right over KU and cover with ease. I see this as a big let down spot for KU.
