Taken the following two bets;

Hamilton to win pole @ 3/1 Sporting Odds
Alonso to win pole @ 11/4 Ladbrokes

As per normal, pole should be either a McLaren or a Ferrari and I reckon the McLaren will suit this track better than the Ferraris. The Hungary circuit is slow with several tight corners and this should suit their car better as it is regarded as being a little more powerful around this type of track. McLaren also seem to have the upperhand over the season in qualifiying so that supports the bet a little more.

Struggling to split the two McLaren drivers though at the moment so gonna have a dabble on both to cover me bum.

A winning bet but very controversial. I'd decided to go a little heavier on my Hamilton bet as I thought he may have the edge.

Hamilton was sat on pole with only enough time to get one more lap in. Both came in for new tyres with Hamilton parked behind Alonso in the pits. Alonso was given clearance to leave the pits but stayed motionless for a few seconds. The result was that because of those few wasted seconds, Hamilton didn't have enough time to change his tyres and get round the circuit before the qualifying period ended.

Needless to say that Alonso beat Hamilton's time on the lap that Hamilton never got. Ron Dennis looked very unhappy and so am I! Although I've made a profit, it should've been so much more.

Alonso was bang out of order there. It's his own team-mate ffs. Have we got another Schumacher on our hands?

He stayed put for 10 seconds so that Hamilton wouldnt be able to get back out again for another quick lap. Bell end.

Hamilton did the quickest time overall in qualifying which bodes well for the race. If he can keep tucked in with Alonso or maybe even jump him at the first corner, Lewis has the speed to beat him.

It was smart, shows you how much hes got everyone worried. As you say Hamilton looks quicker, should be a decent race, what price the two McLarens take each other out at the first corner? Hamilton certainly wont be giving away any space.

Dead right. The only thing in Formula 1 that got me that wound up, was when that cheatin cunt Schumacher went off the track and then came back on to poleaxe Damon Hill and thus prevent him from winning the championship.

i remember that well, was cursing Schuey at the time but then on reflection thought if the boot was on the other foot then i wouldent be moaning much if Hill had done it, i suppose its that greater will to win that brings out the cheat in folks.

Same thing happened with Prost and Senna when Senna took out prost on the first lap to win the championship, its having the bottle to do it i suppose and face the consequences.

Well it seems Alonso has been punished and moved 5 places down the grid for delaying Hamilton and the pole Handed to Hamilton, where that leaves u with ure bet Wayne i have no idea as it might be like rule 4 in horse racing.

Anyhow for this act Mclaren will now be awarded no points in the constructors championship, I bet Mr Dennis is chuffed about that..

Just got in slick and seen the news. Neither bookies have resettled yet so I'll leave it until the morning and see what happens.

No doubt I'll be telling Sporting Odds that Hamilton has been awarded pole and Ladbrokes that Alonso won the pole by time. See if I can get both to pay me out! Would make hell of a difference if they pay out on Hamilton though!

Qualifying Prices

Winning bets must predict the winner of the relevant qualifying session.
Bets will be settled according to the positions and times set during the final qualifying session.
For the purposes of this bet, any subsequent adjustments of grid positions shall be disregarded. This includes also match bets or other Qualifying Specials.

Doesn't look good does it.

Alonso did a very unsporting and silly thing. Not only has he lost out, but now also his team will lose constructor points.

What he did was very very stupid. Luckily no one actually beat Hamilton's time (bar Alonso) but it could have been different. With all the cars left out on track we could, hypothetically, have seen 2 or 3 go faster than Lewis. And because the big baby, Alonso, wouldnt let Lewis out on track because he's faster, Lewis might have ended up further down the grid.

McLaren aside though, happily the only person that loses out is that Spanish cunt.

Lets hope he goes off the track and loses his legs in a hurrendous collision that also wipes out Michael and Ralph Schumacher. Cunt
