Re: Speedway World Cup
I'm sorry I have to disagree about the above comments. Tonights race off will be between Poland Australia and Sweden and I strongly believe that Poland will romp this at home as the track will be made for them and have three riders who race at this track week in week out.
Sweden are potentially missing there two top riders in Jonnson and Lindback but even if they are fit I feel they will still struggle to beat Australia. I'm on Poland to win the World cup outright just pipping the Danes but will be close. Prediction for Sat's final 1st Poland 2nd Denmark 3rd Australia 4th GB |

Re: Speedway World Cup
I've just got into this in the last year or so on Sky Sports but have to say that I strongly fancy Denmark for this one. The weak links with all other sides seem more noticeable and in the 1st round Denmark destroyed Poland and Australia. Granted this was on a home track but I'd be surprised in the Poles who are inconsistent at best can reverse the fortunes significantly enough.

Re: Speedway World Cup
agree that the danes on paper are the strongest - but they excel on slick tracks. Tonights track will suit the poles who have all the good gate positions wearing the blue helmet colour tonight meaning they will get the inside gates early on which are an advantage providing they make the gates and the outside gates later in the meeting which is also an adavantage as the dirt will be on the outside by then.
Its a tough call tonight but I'm sticking with the poles (4/1 at start of play with unibet) - Australia will push them close. |

Re: Speedway World Cup
Aye great stuff lads reminds of the times when we had 'speedway pete' or whatever his name was over at the other side, He went on a remarkable run for months and made quite a few bob on the cinders.
