NBA Finals
First Live game of the Finals on tomorrow morning at 2am on Sky Sports. Sees Detroit Pistons take on San Antonio Antonio Spurs. Spurs are 1/3 favourites to win the best of 7 finals, although I don't think this is a fair reflection on Detroits ability.
San Antonio have Home Court advantage, but I can still see Detroit nicking one game on the road. They have an excellent defense and match ups between the 2 in the regular season were tight. Detroit winning 110 to 101 and losing 77 to 80. Whilst Det do come off a hard fought series against Miami, San Antonio have had an easy time in getting this far, and won't have faced anyone of Detroits intensity in the last month or so. They also have not had a game since 1/6. I can see tonights first game being a tight affair, so have had 5 pts on Detroit with 6.5 points start, generally available at 10/11, I have got 1.97 at Canbet, Betfair go 1.99 before Commission. For the series had 6 Pts on Detroit at 3.40 with Canbet. Also available at 3.25 at Corals, or 3.45 with Betfair. which to my mind represents decent value on what is in reality should have fair odds of evens. |

Re: NBA Finals
Yeah I'm finding myself in agreement with pretty much all of that.
I managed to have some on detroit at 4.9 so that's quite nice. As for tonights game 6.5 seems like an awful lot of points to give a team like detroit doesn't it ? OK when spurs play well they too are a great team, spurs also have a great defence, but it still seems like too much of a start. If rasheed wallace can get his shit sorted I can't see detroit losing by 7. Ok they might not win but lose by 7 ? The bookies do know what they are doing however, they are 6.5 underdogs for a reason. Detroit have lost the last 8 games at san antonio I think. Detroit are currently +6.5 at 2.000 at pinnacle, this allows a half point buy to +7 at 1.901 and I suggest if you wait for the right moment the price on detroit will get even better allowing a half point buy at 1.909 or better. This still seems like an awful lot of points to give away, am I missing something here ? :think |

Re: NBA Finals
Wow - a pretty awesome display by the Spurs. They started off poorly but boy did they pick up their game, with Duncan in exceptional form. Had something like 15 rebounds in the game.
Detroit, on the other hand never really seemed to get going. Maybe we are all wrong and Spurs are going to end up romping away with this. :pat |

Re: NBA Finals
Detroit had scored 17 points in the first 7 minutes and were looking comfortable. Spurs then found their rhythm, upped the defense and from half time it was virtually one way traffic. Detroit need a big game on Sunday night if they are to have any chance of saving the series, another crushing defeat and it could well go 4-0 to the Spurs, but if they can get some belief back into themselves Detroit can still win it.
Will probably be leaving Game 2 alone, spread stands at Detroit +6.5 points. |

Re: NBA Finals
i didn't get to see they game but detroit came screaming out in 1st quarter.
But 2nd half they obviously lost it. I'm reckoning Tim Duncan is gonna be harder to control than shaq, I mean shq was injured after all. Foul Tim duncan and there's a good chance he'll hit both free throws ! I'm never on detroit at the right time I tell ya ! |
