It's hard to review this film and not give away the ending.

I hardly ever read movie reviews as they tend to give away too much. Extremely well acted but the plot isn't a modern day Rocky - put it that way. It deals with a difficult subject towards the end. I didn't enjoy the last half an hour truth be told.

6 / 10 - the film.

10 / 10 - the acting (Hilary Swank was excellent).

Just to add. It's more a film about two peoples lives, their relationship and how they are thrown together. Boxing to a large extent becomes the secondary factor in the film. I suppose I was expecting 'a good watch'. What you get is a film that leaves you thinking quite deeply about life.
