Sweden look a half decent price at home condidering the players they possess but i don't know to much about Denmark and how this side compares to the one that got stuffed by Ireland the other week in a friendly.

Re: Euro 2008 Qualifiers: 8th September

Looks a horrible price for Scortland. 6 Lithiuanian were playing for Hearts last week. They should know our gae well enough. Some might say that seeing as hearts are so shit that thats a good thing. I aint so sure though. I think there is nothing these players would love to do more is it back at the knockers in the press and really raise their game. I wouldnt touch it and ill just be happy enough with a scottish win

Croatia 1.15
Germany 1.35
Spain 1.30

Looks a safety first treble. Returns about evens...can't argue with that.

Re: Euro 2008 Qualifiers: 8th September

Surely Bosnia is the bet of the weekend there? 3.00 for sitting 2nd in the group? Won at places like away to Norway in the same campaign too. Little dodgy in the goals against column overall, but their away record looks very sound, and playing against an average Hungarian team.

Anyone got any team info or reasons not to back them, because at 2/1 its very much a case of "yes please" for me.

Btw, for the Scotland game................no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,.............................

Don't even think about.

Stop thinking about.

I can see you thinking about it, stop it.

Look, I'm warning you.........

Now you're just pissing me off.

p.s - also like the look of an Italy/France draw @ 3.20

and maybe Norn Iron at 2.00.

all three look good to me wet sail , but skybet and Paddies offer Germany @1.5 which I think is very generous , it did not take long for me to overcome my nationalistic tendencies. When Wales won 1-0 in Bulgaria it was the Eastwood and Hennessey show when a 6-1 home win would have been fairer. Eastwood scoring on his debut and Hennessey stopping everything.Collins from Sunderland has pulled out of the Wales squad.

Wales squad:
Hennessey (Wolves), Price (Derby), Coyne (Tranmere), Bale (Spurs), J.Collins (West Ham), S Evans (Wrexham), Gabbidon (West Ham), Morgan (Peterborough), Nyatanga (Barnsley), Ricketts (Hull), Crofts (Gillingham), S Davies (Fulham), Fletcher (Crystal Palace), M Jones (Wrexham), Koumas (Wigan), Ledley (Cardiff), Llewellyn (Wrexham), Robinson (Toronto), Bellamy (West Ham), Earnshaw (Derby), Eastwood (Wolves), Nardiello (QPR).

Germany squad:
Goalkeepers: Robert Enke (Hanover 96), Timo Hildebrand (Valencia, Spain), Jens Lehmann (Arsenal, England)
Defenders: Gonzalo Castro (Bayer Leverkusen), Arne Friedrich (Hertha Berlin), Manuel Friedrich (Bayer Leverkusen), Marcell Jansen (Bayern Munich), Philipp Lahm (Bayern Munich), Per Mertesacker (Werder Bremen), Christoph Metzelder (Real Madrid, Spain), Christian Pander (Schalke 04), Serdar Tasci (VfB Stuttgart).
Midfielders: Roberto Hilbert (VfB Stuttgart), Thomas Hitzlsperger (VfB Stuttgart), Simon Rolfes (Bayer Leverkusen), Bastian Schweinsteiger (Bayern Munich), Piotr Trochowski (Hamburg SV).
Forwards: Mario Gomez (VfB Stuttgart), Patrick Helmes (Cologne), Miroslav Klose (Bayern Munich), Kevin Kuranyi (Schalke 04), Lukas Podolski (Bayern Munich)

Re: Euro 2008 Qualifiers: 8th September

Cheers for that Martens, as i mentioned i don't know much about the two sides and was only going off the players Sweden have and the last display from Denmark against the Irish. Plus i'm sure Sweden have a good record @ home in Competition matches.

I'm pretty tempted to go for an Irish Double but i know from previous experiences wacthing England how tough the Slovakians can be.

Re: Euro 2008 Qualifiers: 8th September

Betfair prices:

Scotland 1.37
Lithuania 11.00
Draw 5.00

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd make Scotland no better than 1.60-1.70 for this one...that price on Scotland is far too short(although unsurprising as we usually seem to be overestimated against dangerous Eastern Euro nations.)

Scotland scraped past Georgia with a last minute winner...of course we also beat France but a Scotland team that has to come out and win as opposed to sit back and defend is a different beast altogether, and not a gameplan we ever employ too well.

Lithuania have a far better squad than the Georgians, and based on those players turning out in the SPL, they have a few that look decent enough for this level of match.

I want nothing more than a Scotland win, but at that price will be having a big lay.

Centrebet have Turkey +1 @ 1.66 - they will probably void it but you never know.

Slovakia have interesting team with players like Vittek or Mintal. I saw them vs Poland some time ago (however in friendly), and they are able to put good display, on the other hand Ireland not worldbeaters so at first sight i like the odds on homewin @ 2.55.

Re: Euro 2008 Qualifiers: 8th September

Odds around 1.40-1.45 look a bit short for Holland to beat Bulgaria, but in fact there's no reason for them to be higher. Holland should win that game and I don't think it will be so hard for the home team, although they have some problems with the squad (Roben and Van der Vaart not 100% sure). Bulgaria's main problem is (as ever) their pathetic defence and facing such offensive power like Dutch it will be impossible to keep their net clean. So, away team will have to score goals, but Stilian and Martin Petrov alone with Berbatov are the only players having enough class to do something against Holland on their pitch. Things aren't looking good for Bulgaria in that game, I'm more pesimistic after the defeat from Wales in last friendly. New coach, Dimitar Penev, isn't the greatest tactician, although he somehow takes the right decisions.

So, I'll be betting:
Holland (-0.75) 6/10 I'll be happy if I lose that bet.
Over 2.5 goals 5/10 - odds over 2 are great to be missed IMO
