Should also add that Argentina v Germany game is on Channel 5 tonight live.
The Austrailia/Tunisia game interests me. Both teams have made a go of their games against the International giants in Argentina and Germany and have put in quite respectable performances which surprised a few people as they were looked upon as the whipping boys of the group.
I watched the Tunisia/Germany game last night and although Germany deserved the win, the 3-0 score flattered them. Tunisia produced some great opportunities that on another day they wouldve put away. Scuffed shots and a lucky goal line save from a corner by Lehman at 0-0 kept the Germans in the game. The defence put in a solid performance also until they fell away in the last 15 mins and conceded 3 goals.
I didnt see the first game with Argentina in great detail but a 2-1 defeat is a very respectable result, and the fact they missed a penalty in the first half at 0-0 couldve swung the game in their favour.
Austrailia on the other hand wouldve had some points on the board if it hadnt been for a defensive horror show in both games. They are creating enough chances and are taking them against tougher defences than the Tunisians. A draw for the Austrailians would be enough to save them from getting the wooden spoon but their players seem in a more bouyant mood.

They will be hoping that the scoring streak continues in their final group game against Tunisia in Leipzig’s Zentralstadion on Tuesday. A draw will be enough to give Australia third place in the group, but you can bet that they will be going out to finish on a high. Right-back Kevin Muscat said: "This tournament has given us something to work on in the future. Every game in the Confederations Cup is a great preparation for our qualifying matches for next year's World Cup. Now we want to win our final match."
Those comments were echoed by talismanic midfielder Tim Cahill who summed up the Aussies’ approach to the final game: He exclaimed: "Although we cannot qualify for the semi-finals, it is not over for us. In the end we have been very unlucky. But we have learnt a lot during this competition – and football has learnt that Australia never give up." Very few who have watched the Socceroos in this summer’s FIFA Confederations Cup would argue with that

All in all - i think the over 2 goals at evens is fantastic value. Both playing for pride and will want to go out on a high. Both teams previous 2 games have gone over the 2 goals so i see no reason why tonight would be any different. As for the outcome - i think i will leave it as its anyone game. The first goal will be crucial.
Quick analysis of the other game and you have to fancy Argentina to overcome the Germans. The Germans were poor against the Tunisians and were lucky to escape with the victory, nevermind a 3-0 result. They are a great side going forward - its just at the back Klinsman hasnt been able to get it right.
Hitzelsperger was giving a torred time at left back and whether he is kept in this position is another matter. Argentina have been comfortable in their games, but then lost concentration and let the teams back in. They are a usually solid defensive outfit and if they play well then i cant see any hope for the Germans. Then again - you can never write out a German team, no matter how poorly they have been.
