Re: Euro 2008 Qualifiers: Saturday 2nd Sept

N Ireland Iceland looks quite interesting to me and i'd be interested in what folks think about that one. I was thinking of the unders but i aint so sure. How about a bet on N Ireland not to score?

Bollocks surely the Faroes AINT a good bet? please dont let them be a good bet. No they cant win

Georgia France draw? Low scoring one? Hungary v Norway has draw written all over it to me. England -5 would be about evens or similar no doubt. Sweden to get something in Latvia? draws a worry again. Romania v Bulgaria there should be a lot of interest in. Initially i fancy the home at the prices but i wouldnt know that much. Wales to put on a perormance in Czech and grab a draw? Could be low scoring that one. A dour game.

Israel i'd always take to draw. Germany v Ireland is a corker.

Re: Euro 2008 Qualifiers: Saturday 2nd Sept

Think Northern Ireland are picking up a bit lately aren't they? Won 2-1 in Finland last game, if I remember rightly.

Was reading today that Germany will be without all 4 of the central defenders that were in their World Cup squad. Under new management too. Not too sure what the Republic of Ireland are like these days though.
What's with the Serbia and Montenegro bit? Could've sworn those two had split up, hadn't they? Actually, yes they definitely have, just looked it up here http://www.uefa.com/Competitions/EUR...147/index.html. Cue plenty of angry Serbians and Montenegrans (??)

Don't know what Montenegro are up to (isn't Monty from there? Maybe he'll be along later to tell us), but it's Serbia only that are playing Azerbaijan. Will be Serbia's competitive debut, as it says in that UEFA link in my last post.

Re: Euro 2008 Qualifiers: Saturday 2nd Sept

I think Andorra is value in this match-up from Nordicbet:

England - Andorra (First team to get a player booked)
02.09.2006 18:00Andorra1.50
02.09.2006 18:00England2.40

Andorra has been the first team to get booked in 15 of their last 19 international games. I donīt see the English players resorting to hard tackles and reckless play against Andorra as there is no need for that against a slowish amateur side. On the other hand Andorra are going to be forced to take a few cards if they want to keep the scoreline down. Besides, Rooney and Beckham are out of this one so who is going to pick up cards for silly offenses in the English team?

reckon if boydy starts, scotland should be able to beat the faroes by 3 or 4 goals given the form he is in

Re: Euro 2008 Qualifiers: Saturday 2nd Sept

Hello and welcome to TDP Rilagor. Interesting information. Does anyone have any thoughts on Rilagor's reasoning?

Scotland i think will be happy with a 2-0 win i reckon. Didnt the Faroe's get screwed 6-0 by belarus or someone last time out?

Re: Euro 2008 Qualifiers: Saturday 2nd Sept

Thats an interesting bet there Rilagor and actually a very well thought out one. For England to pick up a yellow, Andorra would have to be in possession of the ball and lets face it theyre not gona see much of it are they. If your stats on Andorra are correct (and ive no reason to assume that they are not) this is closer to a 1/4 shot than it is a 1/2 one.

Re: Euro 2008 Qualifiers: Saturday 2nd Sept

Welcome to TDP Rilagor and ditto what Mrm has to say.
Its the sort of bet that would has never crossed my mind but does make sense, especially if England begin to press and Andorra resort to giving away niggly free kicks plus there's no need for England to go in all guns blazing as they should win this at a cantor.
