World Cup qualifiers 14th October
Poland vs Slovakia
I'm from Poland and i think it is easy to say that Slovakia is clear favorite here. So 2,5 from Betclick for them is easy to take(is huge value). i take it with 9/10 becouse i think they are the team which need this wictory to win this groupe, and i think they want to win it. Ewen if they will get to WC from second place if they lose. Poland play awful agaist Czech which was expekted, becouse our team was toure araund after embarasiing defet by Slovenia, our coach was saked and they apoint part time replecment and ask him to use younger player which should be our team for EURO2012 in Poland and Ukrain. And the coach do it chande almoust all team in first eleven there is only 3 players from the team which play for Benhaker which is M. Lewandowski who is our captain now, Błaszczykowski and new recruit from France Obraniak. in Poland most people whant this game to by lose and there want by full house in the stadium becouse a lot of people is asking to ban this game and don't go to chere our team, and dont want this part time coach to be this one who will be going to prepare our team for EURO2012. i.m thin than Slovakia will be more determinet do win, and of coure will be more team than our players becouse they play witch the same plyers for long time, wchic isin't in our team, where this playaers see each other for the first time. Sory for my bad english. |

Re: World Cup qualifiers 14th October
Off our friends from the BBC...
QUALIFICATION DETAILS The nine European group winners qualify automatically for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. The eight best runners-up go into four two-legged play-off matches (on 14 and 18 November) with the winner of each tie also qualifying. As Group 9 has only five teams (the other groups have six), the eight best runners-up will be judged after expunging results against the bottom-placed team in each group. (NB Teams which finish level on points are separated by goal difference, then goals scored, then goals scored away from home, then by disciplinary record. If they are still level, lots are drawn) Full explanation of play-offs from fifa.com Group One Table P W D L F A GD PTS 1 Denmark 9 6 3 0 16 4 12 21 2 Portugal 9 4 4 1 13 5 8 16 3 Sweden 9 4 3 2 9 4 5 15 4 Hungary 9 4 1 4 9 8 1 13 5 Albania 9 1 4 4 5 9 -4 7 6 Malta 9 0 1 8 0 22 -22 1 Remaining Group 1 fixtures: Denmark v Hungary (14 Oct) Sweden v Albania (14 Oct) Portugal v Malta (14 Oct) Denmark have qualified. One of Sweden or Portugal are likely to claim second place and a play-off spot that could be decided by goal difference, although Hungary have an outside chance should both those two lose their final game. This would also end Israel's hopes of a play-off spot. Greece are the only team that can catch the leaders and need a win against Luxembourg to have a chance of doing so. Latvia remain in the hunt for a play-off spot but must win and hope results go in their favour in order to achieve this. The Netherlands have qualified. Scotland are out, with Norway taking the runner-up spot on goal difference. Norway's chances of a play-offs spot hang by a thread, however, with only a bizarre combination of results in Group A offering them a chance to avoid elimination. |

Re: World Cup qualifiers 14th October
The bet of the round must be Slovakia.
Due to better goal difference and easier last match ,Slovenia will win the group if Slovakia failed to win. Rep of Ireland is my second favorite to win the game vs Montenegro. Guests manage to claim first win in official matches so their reached their task regards this qualifications. Need to check the squads before game, and only significant missing at home side will put me out. Switzerland is satisfied with draw, so that's no bet for me. It's hard to expect all favs to win their games even they're playing against much weaker opposition. Meaningless games made for surprises. Bookies must have some cash return after great Saturday (for us). I really don't know what should man do with Ukraine, Portugal & Slovenia treble which pays @ 1.06 ?? Give it a a miss probably. Interesting game is Chile-Ecuador 4. Argentina 17 7 4 6 22 : 20 25 5. Uruguay 17 6 6 5 28 : 19 24 6. Ecuador 17 6 5 6 22 : 25 23 If Ecuador win that game they're surely fifth no matter what Uruguay and Argentina do. But it's hard to believe that Argentina will miss WC, and they will surely do everything they can to secure that place. So even Chile is already qualified I think they will take one point at least, in game where Ecuador must play against referee, audience and dark forces. WC without Argentina ? I doubt it. |

Re: World Cup qualifiers 14th October
I found in other forum(BA) that Slovakia won't have few improtant players (injuried and suspension)in their team in which will be both central defenders from first team, so i sugest to mayby don't put house on this game. I write before how poor Polish team is in this time but even that pure team could score frome couter attack and without two first central defenders in Slovakia team it could be easier i think, so don't put too much on this game i sugest to change the stake if you don't put your money before to 6/10

Re: World Cup qualifiers 14th October
mad tenner on kazakhstan ht/ft at 18-1 v croatia, croatia in turmoil with players being kicked out the squad for fighting amongst themselves and loads of absentees, plus no chance of qualifying realistically
also chile look value if they pick a strong side against ecuador, wait for team news on that one uruguay v argies should be a cracker, cant wait for this one tonight, tempted to steam into uruguay but will probably wait to see how it pans out inrunning |

Re: World Cup qualifiers 14th October
beeing slovak to mention following:
slovakia has several important missings but their main obstacle is lack of confidence it's a historic problem not only in sports. they use to fail in important situations and this is an important one no doubt about it, emotions are high. players are under pressure. team lacks a true team leader just a bunch of quite successful individuals. poland on the other hand is in a mess of course, federation internal problems, managerial change etc. but hard to expect poland will give up easily. considering current situation and overall quality in both countries i rate this game as even so maybe some value on poland. |

Re: World Cup qualifiers 14th October
In my opinion the best bet for the Uruguay v Arg match is Uruguay 0 AH..i personally think the draw is the most likely result but I certainly cant see Argentina suddenly gelling and playing well because they need to, football generally doesnt work like that, only a change of coach or tactics can do this and Argentina have neither..try not to be seduced be the names of the players on show..Argentina are in this position because they are not playing well and the coach employs poorly thought out tactics, this is no surprise his two (brief) previous employments as a manager during the mid 90's resulted in 3 wins from 23 games! I think the pressure is on Argentina for this one as the backlash from the fans if they dont qualify will be huge..Uruguay are under pressure sure, but they are at home and that support will help not hinder, 70,000 sell out..if the game is a draw then you get your stake back but if Uruguay win which is the next most likely option for me then you collect at 1.775 (bet365)..this is a sensible bet for me..

Re: World Cup qualifiers 14th October
I have been struggling to find a bet that appeals, but I guess thats what happens when most issues are settled at the end of a qualifying campaign..
And of the game that matters in Europe too many conflicting opinions have swayed me away from Slovakia winning a must win game.. Anyhow - fact, Wales have performed shite against lesser teams, and Liechtenstein can be difficult to play against and one I have backed to success in the past.. The unders are a decent shout, but I must admit I wouldnt be surprised if Liech got something out of this game. The +1 asian handicap looks a gimmie, as I can Liech putting up a fight and even if Wales did win, their last 14 of 15 qualifiers have resulted in a 1 goal margin win either way (and hence my money back on the asian..) Lietchtenstein (+1 asian handicap) v Wales - 8 pt stake @ 1.72( Ladbrokes) |
