San Marion have lost both their away games combined 17-0. Slovenia still have them to play twice and this time they are at home. Slovenia still have a slight outside chance of qualifying and will also want to get their goal difference up a bit.

Hands up who thinks Scotland can at least draw? I'm typing this with my forehead. We're around 1.80 for the double chance anyway and I'd say Scotland are good enough. Defence is a worry as always but there are certainly a few players available who can cause Norway problems.

Scott Brown looked in great shape coming on for Celtic in Moscow. Kenny Miller has done the business here before and has looked very lively to me for Rangers in their pre-season friendlies (as has Naismith). Ehhm, Ross McCormack by all accounts was Cardiff's star man in their 4-0 win over Scunthorpe, playing left wing. Darren Fletcher appears much more solid and assured these days for Man Utd.... McFadden is always capable of doing something special in a Scotland shirt. Hutton seldom disappoints (me at least) and always manages to create something with his surging runs. Hartley and Clarkson have been receiving rave reviews fresh into their Bristol City careers. This squad aint too bad on paper. Huh?

Scotland can really make a game of it I think although I do expect the defence to wobble considerably if put under sustained pressure. Having said that, Norway's more direct style probably suits Scotland. It's the quick passing and moving we seem to struggle with. Anyone else feeling optimistic?

I'm really pissed off at Barry Ferguson taking all front & backpage headlines when we should be reading about teams Norway & Scotland.

It's a tough one to call & from a betting pov I'D STEER CLEAR...

Germany need to win, and no doubt will, but Azer are a team I love to punt on, and who seem to have come up with the goods for me.

Well after Germany scored after 12 minutes I had a bad feeling, but it looks like Bertie got every man behind the ball.. Or are Germany happy for the low scoring victory and not embarrassing their former manager..?
