I thought it was a yellow card Mickey. Not a red, a yellow. Iif the big clumsy cunt hadn't arrived in the previous tackle fifteen feet away from where the ball was he wouldn't have got the first yellow either but that was irrelevant as the ref gave a straight red. I thought there was enought doubt to say that the left back might have got to Carew to rule out a straight red but, as I say, thats not really relevant
Yes Carew had a crafty handful of his shirt. No argument there but I'm afraid that doesn't give him license to grab Carew back with both hands in full view of the entire stadium and stop him from getting through on goal.
I agree that Scotland were in a daze up until half time but I think after conceding the second goal they actually tried too hard if anything. By which I mean tried too hard to score and maybe they could have tried to shut up shop and keep the score down - although if they'd done that and let four in anyway they would have been slated for it, so a no win situation after the sending off. If they miss out on a play off due to goals conceded they'll look back at this match as the reason why, and that could easily happen even if they beat Macadonia who then go on to beat Norway with Scotland losing to Holland (all of which is a very likely scenario in my view).
I actually feel sorry for Burley but I really hope they can pull it off, then all they have to do is prey that they don't meet France, Croatia or Russia in the play offs and they can dream again
Erm........BELIEVE!
