France U19 v Germany U19
France could be worth a bet at these odds, they're being talked up by a lot of the other coaches at the tournament as the second favourites for the title, behind the Germans. They had a decent run through the two qualifying rounds, scoring 24 goals and conceding just once in six games.
Germany also had a brilliant run through their one qualifying round, scoring 17 and conceding none in their three games. The one reason for optimism that France can secure something from this game is a quote taken from Germany's coach Maren Meinert

"We are in a lucky position because, as hosts, we don't have to qualify for the 2010 FIFA U-20 World Cup," she told uefa.com. "This means Belarus will be a transitional tournament for us, but this doesn't take anything away from our aim to reach at least the semi-finals. "We have a very young team and it's going to be interesting to see how the players emerging from the U17 setup can deal with the new challenge," continued the 35-year-old. "It will be important to work well together as a team, then anything is possible. But you can only see how the team is likely to develop when the tournament starts." Germany may need to hit the ground running. Their first outing in Group A, against France on 13 July, will be "a real challenge" according to Meinert before a meeting with a Switzerland side that accounted for holders Italy in qualifying. "It's going to be very difficult for us from the beginning," the coach said.

With a "transitional" team, surely one of the tournament favourites shouldn't be as big as 5.50 to win, 4.45 on the draw no bet, or 2.30 with a +1 Asian Handicap!
France to beat Germany @ 5.50 (Bet365) - 1 point
France AH(+1) @ 2.30 (Bet365) - 2 points
