Re: CONCACAF Gold Cup

Only one I'm taking so far is Guadeloupe to beat Costa Rica.

Guadeloupe did the business for me in the first two games, beating Panama and Nicaragua, but were perhaps a little guilty of taking their foot off the gas against Mexico in their last match, having already qualified. They've played really well in all the games however, even the game against Mexico, and look a solid unit with plenty of pace upfront.

I bet against Costa Rica in the first game (though I didn't find time to put that on here) as they've left a lot of their more experienced players at home. A very weak El Salvador duly beat them. Costa Rica then managed a win in an even match against an underperforming Jamaica before drawing against Canada, a result that was enough to see both teams through to the knockout stages.

I watched the first Guadeloupe game and was impressed by their attacking and all round team play, while I've not been impressed by what I've seen of Costa Rica. Guadeloupe are only this price as they got beat by Mexico in their final game, despite it being a very even matchup, and are the defenite value pick in this round.

Guadeloupe to beat Costa Rica @ 4.86 (Pinnacle) - 3 points (out of 10)
