WC Qualifying Group Odds

Lets have a run down of the latest odds for folks to win their groups etc and see if there's anything that looks worth a bet....

Group One - Denmark are 7 points clear of Portugal and are best priced 19/20 with Sportingbet (4/6 Hills) Hungary are a point behind in 2nd but played a game more. I dont have a list of fixtures to come. I suppose i better get a list as it will be needed. Demark are at home in 3 of their last 4 games. hard games though entertaining portugal next, away at albania, then home to sweden and hungary. suppose there's a lot of points still on offer. sweden could be interesting poss. agame in hand with Denmark. could put them 4pts behind them. Sweden's remainign games are against-

If they can do well v Denmark in their two games then theey will be there abouts. How have the done v Denmark last few years? 4/1 to win the group. Portugal i suppose could still win it if they can beat hungar y both home and away. they have to beat Denmark in Denmark too so i think they'll be doign well to win the group.

Right onto group 2. It's good for me to just to try to keep up with whats going on and also encourage you all o maybe get a bit of discussion going. It wont be long till the World Cup comes along and all these games will suddenly seem so important. sweden in group 4 with Italy etc Be great to see who gets there and im gonna follow it all the way up. Right grp 2

Greece 5/6 Boylesports (8/11 in places)
Switzerland 6/4 generally

Both tied at the top on 13 points and no offence to any country but wouldnt the world cup be a better place without them both? Greece go to switzerland in the next game

You would have to think that game aside greece are almost guaranteed 9 pts in their last 3. Switzerland have to go to Latvia (who aint out of it) and also entertain Israel at home in the last game. Israel are at home in their next three games (latvia, moldova, luxemburg) then away at switzerland. Israel have never qualified for the world cup have they? i dont think they have in my lifetime anyhow.Israel 10/1 in Coral. I cant see them catching greece though

Group 3 im really hoping for Northern Ireland to make it. that would be great. Even better if Scotland and Re Ireland make it too. England will be there. Man how great would that be? And we're ll in the same group. Like the old home internationals. I think im just getting silly now. It was rep of ireland that done so well in 82 wasnt it? Anyone tell me Northern irelands qualifying record? thanks

shit it looks like nosebleed time for Northern Ireland. theyre gonna fcuk it up aint they? fcuk away at Poland, home to slovakia and then away at Czech Rep good luck Northen Ireland

The 11/1 on them at ladbrokes looks too short even i suppose. Who's these Slovakian cnuts then? where did they come from and why are they doing so well? That was some result for them in Prague wasn't it? They worthy of the win? The 3pts given to them that day certainly could make them look a lot stronger than they could actually be. Game in hand v San Marino mind. That will put them 7pts in front of the czechs. Czech republic have always been a 'playoff side' to me. Ahhhh i seee....slovakia as in Czechoslovakia. Is there a lot of rivalry between the two. im guessing that there will be. I suppose them playing Northen ieland is pivitol to it all. theyve got lots of places to pick up the points too.

Group 4 Germany are justifiable favs 2/7 Betfred and tote. They play Azerbaijan home and away so that really should put them out of sight. You woudl have to maybe fancy the russians at home to the germans 2nd last game. Well i might. draw would be a worry. sod this group and the spanish ones as they just aint exciting enough.

oooo hows about the usual English collapse? they aint gonna make it easy for themselves are they? Lets see the games....away at kahzastan. Will you take many you think out there? All these Stan's are great. they just came from nowhere (or from the old USSR to be precise) I saw a USSR Space helmet for sale in a market in london. It was £40 and it would have skint me. I only realised about half an hourt later that i had to buy it. I wet back and it was gone. Fcuk knows what i would of done with it. I aint really into space much just universes. I dont like rockets and stuff.

sorry...hoho hoh hoh the old defeat at home by croatia . nah after the khazastan game they play andorra and will be sitting with 21pts from 21 going into the croatia game. For croatia to catch england the'd have to beat england in england and then hope that england drop points in the ukraine. all quite plausable i suppose. oyu couldnt back croatia to pip england though. Ukraine have a guranteed 9pts playing andorra twice and khazastan. I suppose its all down to how they dow in their next game which is in croatia. then they have to beat England. Could ther ebe value in their 20/1 quote? I reckon they will be right in there giving england the heebe geebees. its never an easy road for enland. Are the Ukraine good enough to achieve what i'm suggesting?

France are in a poor group arent they? theyre expected to come good though i suppose. 1/2 you can get. Them going to Serbia is the big game. Hows Serbia at home? They still haev to play Austria, Romania and France at home. Going to lithuania in the last game wont be easy. I dont think i could bet on anything in this group. I would like to see the Serbs in the runners up place (a poor runners up place to aid scotlandd's possible advancement)

In group 8 Italy are 1/5 at best. Suppose they shoudl do it. they have to go to Dublin on Midge Ure's birthday. Rep Ireland have possible tough trips to Bulgaria and Cyprus. youll get even money on them in Cyprus and i usually chance them in games like that. good luck Rep ireland. Bulgaria aiont far behind you. Be great if Ireland just played great and won the group and there was no fcuking about.

You just know that Scotland are gonna go into their last game of the group at home to Holland needing to get something. the newspapers will start making us belive and off course 'holland have nothing to play for' by then. they wont lie down, their reserves will give us a lesson and we'll join wales on the huffy 'we aint going to the world cup' bench.
