Re: European WC Qualifiers 28th Mar
Scotland will fight tooth and nail to get a result and we (thier fans) will be praised as being the best in world and they will have a ball etc but anything around 1/2 will be buying money. If you look at the best Scottish players at the moment they are either not playing in their 'normal' position, not playing or are playing everyweek in teams that aren't performing.
Lambs to the slaughter in my eyes..... we love being the underdog at almost everythin and we usually RISE to the occasion but this will be boys against men. It pains me to say it but ............ ![]() |

Re: European WC Qualifiers 28th Mar
Poland 11/10 with paddy powers to beat Northern Ireland looks good to me. Poland played my own country (Rep of Ireland) before xmas in a friendly in Dublin and totally hockeyed us. 3-1 it finished. And the Rep of Ireland are considerably better than Northern Ireland. Poland qualify for major tournaments with regularity these days and they'll be looking at this game as must win. Northern Ireland are missing some players also, most notably the suspended Steven Davis who is one of their only genuinely talented player.
I also think Georgia are worth a punt to win in Cyprus. They played Ireland recently in Dublin and were much better than i expected. Ireland struggled to a 2-1 win and were really lucky to do so. Georgia have some good players such as Kaladze and a few others, and at 3/1 with William Hill look overpriced. Elsewhere, i like the look of both France and Italy to win their respective matches. But i guess theres no prizes for guessing that! |

Should be quite a hot atmosphere too with Northern Ireland and Poland being predominantly a Catholic community. Poland should get a decent support too you'd have thought. Poland a strange team arent they, always seem to romp away with qualification but struggle badly when they reach the championships. |

Re: European WC Qualifiers 28th Mar
aye that's all good BKM our worry is that Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink is not playing for Holland, that means they will hump us, as we all know Jan the man just cannae score a fuckin goal !!!
were soo screwed lol Agree with Georgia being over priced there, would take them to beat cyprus, also need to look at Poland though.......... giving me some food for thought |

Re: European WC Qualifiers 28th Mar
As usual when Scotland are away to a decent side, I'll be looking for Hollland to win to nil @ hopefully something decent. 6/5 I see @ gamebookers
![]() Scotland have probably created 5 chances all together in their last 50 away games so it would be pretty strange to see many goal scoring opportunities for them. And even looking at the strikers available - doesn't really fill you with confidence. It'll probably be backs to the wall with hopeful punts and counters as the Dutch press forward. Just reading McManus and Ferguson are struggling to be fit too. Oh, and I agree Georgia look interesting. |

Re: European WC Qualifiers 28th Mar
Huntelaar will be the key forward for Netherlands without any doubt, I rate this guy higher than Van Persie. This guy shows red hot form in Madrid lately. As home win odds don't offer much value, I'm tempted to bet on Huntelaar to score any time. 10Bet offers generous 2,30

World Cup European Qualifiers Group 8
Re other posts, I just would not jump in and back Georgia to beat Cyprus, if anything I would back Cyprus to win this one. It was 1-1 when these sides met in Georgia and Cyprus were leading that night, Do not use Rep of Ireland as a gauge, We are not the Rep of Ireland of old, Jacks Army, 'Put em under Pressure' and You will never beat the Irish, etc, etc nowadays its more like anyone can beat the Irish, we are very poor at the moment, our best player in every game seems to be our goalkeeper Shay Given, which tells the tale. We were trashed 5-2 by Cyprus away and could only draw with them at home in the Euro qualifiers, then we could only beat them 1-0 in Dublin last October, it should have been a draw only for Shay Given to the rescue again. Italy were lucky to beat Cyprus (1-2 in Cyprus)thanks to a last minute winner. I have seen Cyprus and Georgia in action in this group and Cyprus shade it for me. Cyprus 6/5 Boylesports.
Rep of Ireland v Bulgaria, we should beat them and we must beat them to keep our hopes alive. They are the most negative team in what is shaping up to be a group of shite. They had a 0-0 draw with Georgia away and a 0-0 with Italy at home, they also drew with Montenegro 2-2 in their first game. They will still fancy their chances to qualify and a draw would be a great result for them. They are also missing a few players through injury including Berbatov, a big loss, never mind if he is shite for UTD he is a star for his country 41 goals in 67 games. Rep of Ireland (just) 1/1 William Hills Montenegro v Italy, I would have to go for a draw here, best watched though, the Italians are not the Italy of old either......so far in this group anyway. |
