I've just had a look at the lineups for Nigeria v New Zealand - New Zealand start with 6 of the squad that played in the U17 World Cup earlier earlier this month!

Nigeria looking a lot stronger than NZ here - the Nigerian team is really big, quick too and some neat passing. A few bad mistakes but generally looking good.

And then they miss an open goal from 5 yards...right in front! Good lord.

France looking a decent footballing side again but USA with a couple of early chances and make it hard for France to pass it about. It's very like the match in the U17's actually. I'm not sure about the French defence but they look not bad going forward; getting into good positions a few times.

France with the most incredible miss I've ever seen. Scooped over an open goal from inches out.

And as I said during the U17 encounter - can't see this France defence holding out. They get opened up too easily. Even game so far though and odds perhaps looking a bit out again.

Eeech. Maybe not. They just can't defend and I can see USA getting a couple. They continue to play some good football as they attack so..... maybe in with a shout still. I'm scared.

France looking likely to grab a goal too. Better footballing side I feel but still very even and hard to call. They WILL concede.

USA open them up again. Closes those gaps damn it.

France pretty much in control last 10-15 mins of half and better quality of player I think but these gaps that appear at the back are terribly worrying. USA look like they might catch them out but at the same time. France useful going forward. 0-0 HT and anyone's game.

France started 2nd half well and look up for it.....passing USA off the park just now.. gimme a goal...

ANd I got one. USA go up the park and score. Opened them up with 3 passes I think. Too easy.

And they just did the same again. France have nothing at the back and you could probably get your gran to walk it into the net. This one looks over now.

INCREDIBLE! USA keeper gets a single atom of glove onto a glorious shot and touches on to the bar. France still a threat but we need one NOW.

A 3rd for USA and it really is comical stuff at the back again. You'll see on the highlights. France have gifted this to the yanks and it really annoys me how USA never have to rise above average due to this bloody defence. I think when France missed from 3 inches to go 1 up I knew it was going to end this way.

And 1-0 Nigeria!!! Get in. It's been coming altho Nigeria making it tough for themselves.

They are really quick up front, great on the ball in midfield(especially the captain, superb player) and powerful in defence. Having said that, they do make it tricky for themselves with some questionable decision making when in the final third and a dodgy few passes at the back.

2-0!!! Easy stuff!

They should get about 8 here if they think about it and play the easy passes. NZ defence is absolutely horrendous and the keeper even worse, 2 incredibly soft goals.

2-1 - Nigeria defence snoozing and a really good goal from NZ. NZ can play some great diagonal balls in.

Really shouldnt be tricky here for Nigeria - NZ only a few speculative efforts apart from the goal, Nigeria looking like scoring every time they go forward, just not producing the final ball. Half time and id expect Nigeria to be even stronger 2nd half.

Jesus! What a goal...2-2 NZ - Nigeria. Nigeria are blowing some golden chances here, making it so tricky on themselves. Should still win but they need to start showing a bit more composure infront of goal.

I cant believe some of the chances Nigeria are missing - its Japan all over again.

I switched to Nigeria for the last 10 and Beanie wasnt kidding. 1 way traffic and two clear chances since I switched. It really is Japan all over again.
