I hate whinging about luck...................buuuuut .....................i've never had so many bets on the outsiders in games who go on to dominate easily, and end up somehow contriving to lose. I cannot believe how these games have panned out - almost every one as I thought, bar the result. Unbelievable.

Japan the better team by a good distance(and not even playing at the level they have done so far in the tourney) - 21 shots to 8, 60/40 possession, and still beaten by a couple of sucker punches, just like all the rest - the ones on the other side(germany's late goal v Canada/Nigeria's v NZ) don't quite level things up given they were battering the other side at the time(and they bring in 1.60 wins rather than Englands late leveller v NZ costing a 7.20.)

Law unto itself, so much so that in the early stages of tonight with Japan well on top, Mickey and I were already predicting the DPR win.

I cant bet there, but looking at bet365, Germany +1 -188 looks good. I would bet that. Make the USA beat you by 2. Should be a close game.

France is undervalued today. Good team, Germany not as strong as usual. Should be a good game, France can get a draw or even an upset here. Probably easier than normal in a 3rd place game for an upset because the favorite may or may not be mentally into the game. Pick: France

USA goalie Naeher has not been beat once all tourney. USA forwards dangerous and click well together. North Korean goalie is very short and I think the USA can and will take advantage of that. North Korea a very good team, but I think USA takes this today. Pick: USA

Also I bet USA-Korea under 2.5-3. Strong defense for USA, championship games could bring out some nerves and caution, no one wants to make a mistake. I think the USA takes this 1-0 or maybe 2-0.

Those all look sensible thoughts Alex and along the lines of what I thought when looking at the pictures. DPR arent particularly special and I cant imagine they will cope with the USA's fitness, size or speed, while Germany were pretty rotten in the semi and Im not sure they'll be fired up enough to justify that price.
