Tip for World Cup Qualifying
Bolivia -1/2 over Peru
Bottom dwellers in South American qualifying meet in Bolivia on Saturday. While it is unlikely that either team will qualify for the World Cup, at this early stage hopes are still alive. Bolivia at home will get the 3 points and climb up the table. We are confident in the early information available for this match. |

Re: 11/12th Oct: World Cup Qualifiers
No way are Scotland odds on chances but Evens or above is available and looking at the list of Norways injuries they could temp (slightly) although team news will be needed. Svenson and Carew are both doubtful for the game but reports are saying that 1 or both will be fit.
Not a lot of others are jumping out ......... Greece, Spain, Slovakia, Finland, Denmark and Belgium all looks nailed on and may pay above Evens in a mad accie |

Re: 11/12th Oct: World Cup Qualifiers
Although probably the worst thing you can do as a Scotland fan, i'm quite drawn to our odds @ 11/10...
![]() It is a must win game for us (already!), our home form has been superb in the previous qualifiers, W5 (including France and Ukraine), L1 (which was a horrible injury time decision by the ref, against the World Champs). Norway with injury troubles, Carew doubtful, and 'keeper worries meaning their 3rd choice may be in the sticks... 2.1 looks a price i'd be tempted to take, even if i am the worst jinx in the world when it comes to backing my own team! |

Re: 11/12th Oct: World Cup Qualifiers
I agree bromsgrove international weekends are always crap and whenever I do an accum usually on three or four there is always at least one real shock result, decided to more or less ignore form and rep (to a point) and just look for some decent odds, these can basically be viewed as one-off games as there is so much time between the goups of games..
Finland v Azerbaijan draw @ 5 Scotland v Norway under 2.5 @ 7/10 (alright crap odds but pretty safe bet) Greece v Moldova draw @ 5 3 doubles (finland x + scot 9.19/1, greece x + scot 9.19/1, finland x + greece x 35/1) + 1 treble (60/1 bet 365) Georgia v Cyprus away @ 13/5 Turkey v Bosnia draw @ 3 Serbia v Lithuania away @ 5 3 doubles (Cyprus + Turkey x 13.4/1, Turkey + Lith 23/1, Cyprus + Lith 20.6/1) + 1 treble (85.4/1 bet 365) Romania v France home @ 11/5 Germany v Russia away @17/4 1 Double 15.8/1 (bet365) Not overly confident but if you look at those, none of the outcomes seem too ridiculous and small stakes for big returns is always more satisfying! |

Re: 11/12th Oct: World Cup Qualifiers
The only bet I’ve placed so far is for Azerbaijan to make it a close game with Finland
Finland’s home record is semi decent without being outstanding. To be fair they have picked up recently taking the scalps of Israel, and nearly beating Germany. However Azerbaijan are a notorious spoiler team. They give little away and every game they play is tight as you can see from their last 9 away matches.. Wales 1-0 Azerbaijan Iran 1-0 Azerbaijan Iceland 1-1 Azerbaijan Andorra 1-2 Azerbaijan Bosnia 1-0 Azerbaijan Lithuania 1-0 Azerbaijan Finland 2-1 Azerbaijan Tajikistan 2-3 Azerbaijan Kazakhstan 1-1 Azerbaijan Notice a pattern..Yes they don’t seem to lose by more than one goal.. On the Asians you can still get Azerbaijan at 1.89 for a +1.75 goal handicap. Which means you win if they win, draw or lose by one goal, and even half your stake back if they lose by 2 goals! Not a bad bet as far as I’m concerned, and certainly being the first game kicking off at 2pm a good chance to get the day off to a flyer !! Finland v Azerbaijan (+1.75 asian handicap) – 10 pt stake @ 1.89 Stan james |

Re: 11/12th Oct: World Cup Qualifiers
Its World Cup qualifiers and these are my thoughts on the African games
Group 1 Cameroun vs Mauritius – This is an easy home game for Cameroun and they will win easily. Since odds are low it can be part of an accumulator. Tanzania vs Cape Verde is a difficult game to predict so i suggest a NO BET Group 2 Namibia vs Zimbabwe – I don’t see Zimbabwe losing this game. Namibia have nothing to play for as they are out. The best bet for this match is Zimbabwe not to loose if you can find odds but i wouldn’t touch this game. Guinea vs Kenya – Kenya currently lie on top of this group but if Guinea win they will take over first place and qualify automatically for the 2nd round. They have been 7 past encounters between these teams and they all win their home games. I expect the trend to continue and i will go for a Home win with small to medium stake. Group 3 Uganda vs Benin – This is a pretty difficult match as Benin has already qualified and Uganda will have to win to be at least considered for 2nd place. Uganda lost last match by 3-1 against poor Niger and they haven’t been the same team since manager Laslo left for Hearts in Scotland. Its a no Bet game for me. Angola vs Niger – Angola haven’t fared well at all after their splendid performance at the Nations cup and their head coach resigned last week. His assistant will take over for this match. Despite their problems Angola who currently have same points with Uganda, should beat poor Niger without any problem. Home win here is a banker and if odds are too low you can add it to an accumulator. Group 4 Nigeria vs Sierra Loene – There is no need to talk about this match as its clear who wins. Nigeria is the only side to have taken maximum points and are yet to concede a goal. The trend will continue, home win, Nigeria not to concede a goal. Eq Guinea vs South Africa – South Africa is not faring well and they have to win this match to be at least considered for one of the best 8 2nd placed teams. They beat Malawi in their last friendly match and i believe they will do everything to win this match but i wont back them as i will stay clear of this match. I simply cant trust them, but if anyone has a big heart you can go for an away win. Group 5 Gabon vs Libya – My African bet for this round and my gift and banker to all punters. Gabon are unstoppable at home and they will beat Libya. Don’t worry about the fact that Libya are top of the group, they will loose in Libreville. My gift and Banker for all. Ghana vs Lesotho – My country plays poor Lesotho and i will take away nationality and be factual here. I can guarantee everyone Ghana will win to nil. Dont be fooled by what happened in the first match as the only 2 goals scored by Lesotho were against Ghana. In that match Ghana was leading comfortably by 3-0 and the coach decided to bring in fringe players. They thought the game was over and played as if nothing was at stake in the final minutes only for Lesotho to score 2 goals in the 92nd and 93rd minute but this wouldn’t happen here in Ghana. My only problem is the number of goals as the Ghanaians are very wasteful infront of goal but i believe at least they will get 2 goals. If they get their acts together then we will see more goals. Matthew Amoah of NAC Breda who is in fantastic form and scoring at will in the Dutch league will lead the attack together with Prince Tagoe another deadly striker in the Saudi Arabian league. The skipper Stephen Appiah is back and will motivate his boys and keep the midfield tight together with Sulley Muntari. Michael essien is injured and will be replaced by Anthony Annan of Rosenborg in midfield. Laryea Kingston of Hearts is suspended due to accumulation of yellow cards but there are a lot of replacements for him. John Mensah of Lyon will be back in the team after missing a couple of games due to injury. It will be an easy game for Ghana with at least 2 goals and a clean sheet. Group 6 Senegal vs Gambia – This will be a tightly contested game as Gambia is pretty solid. I still expect Senegal who have a little pedigree to win by an odd goal with little or medium stakes. Senegal needs to win to be considered for qualification whereas Gambia will be content with a draw, close game and home win for me. Liberia vs Algeria Algeria don’t travel well and they can be assured of a qualification slot only if they draw. If Algeria lose and Senegal and Gambia draw, it will make the group very interesting so Algeria will have t at least draw to be sure of being considered for the next stage. Difficult game so NO BET. Group 7 Botswana vs Mozambique – This can go either way with a draw also possible, NO BET. Ivory Coast vs Madagascar – Ivory Coast needs at least a point to be guaranteed 1st place, but they have too much for Madagascar. Home win but low odds so can be considered for accumulator. Group 8 Morocco vs Mauritania – Another easy game and Morocco will win to nil. There are 3 teams in this group due to the suspension of Ethiopia and both Rwanda and Morocco will qualify for the next stage irrespective of what happens. Home win odds low so add to an accumulator or look for Morocco to keep a clean sheet. Group 9 Tunisia vs Seychelles – Tunisia will win this game hoping that Burkina slip so that they can take first position, but irrespective of what happen they will whitewash the Seychelles team and will be in contention for one of the best 8 runner up slots if Burkina get at least a draw in their final match. Burundi vs Burkina Faso – There is not much at stake for Burundi except pride as they cannot qualify. Burkina Faso needs just to draw to be guaranteed first place. Match is of little importance in my view so NO BET for me. Group 10 Mali vs Chad – All the teams in this group have a chance to qualify if they win their respective games. Mali have too much quality and it will definitely be a home win. Banker and an accumulator material if odds are low to you. Sudan vs Congo – I simply don’t know what to make of the Sudanese team, they disappoint when you expect them to win and vice versa. There is a lot at stake in this match as a draw will be just enough for Congo to fight out one of the 2nd place best slots, however Sudan needs a win at all cost. NO BET Group 11 Togo vs Swaziland – This match is being played in my city Accra as Togo are still serving their home ban. I watched their training on Thursday and Adebayor didn’t take part in it but was there to witness it. I believe he will definitely play. Togo will have to win to stand any chance of being considered for the next round. Accra is like home to them so i expect them to win just that they wouldn’t get much support as Ghanaians will be concentrating on their game with Lesotho in Sekondi. Home win with minimum stake for me. Group 12 Egypt vs Djibouti – I don’t even need to talk about the game as it is a mismatch. If Egypt play with seriousness i expect at least 9-0, however no matter how Egypt play they will still win. Odds very low so try an special you can get like Djibouti not to score handicaps and the rest. Malawi vs Congo DR – two decent sides who have to fight out for 2nd place. Congo DR needs a draw whereas Malawi needs to win to overtake Congo DR. Malawi lost friendly with poor South Africa but they will be motivated for this game. I CANT PICK ANY SO NO BET FOR ME. SUMMARY BANKERS AND ACCUMALATOR MATERIALS Egypt, Mali, Tunisia, Morocco, Ivory Coast , Ghana, Nigeria, Angola, Cameroun. You can pick specials in matches involving Ghana, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt and Nigeria to win with clean sheets or with handicaps SPECIAL VALUE BANKER Gabon to win MEDIUM TO SMALL STAKES Guinea, Togo, Senegal |

Re: 11/12th Oct: World Cup Qualifiers
There's more details on this over at my blog but I'm going with correct score permed trebles;
First things first - find fixtures where the favourites are unlikely to lose a goal. And then decide just how many goals they’ll win by; Pick 1 : England Despite Kazakhstan’s 3-0 win over Andorra and them managing to find the net in a 3-1 defeat at home to Ukraine, there’ll be a serious inquest if England don’t keep a clean sheet at Wembley on Saturday. So they’ll be the first of the 3 teams I’ll be backing. After netting 4 in Croatia, England will be expected to rattle in a few at the other end too. I wasn’t surprised to see them only win 2-0 in Andorra but I can see them winning more comfortably in this one. So I’ll be going for the spread of 3-0, 4-0 and 5-0. Pick 2: Denmark Malta have yet to score in their opening two games and it’d be a surprise if they opened their account against Denmark on Saturday. The Danes are in a tough group and recorded an excellent 3-2 away in Portugal last time round. They won’t want all that hard work to have been undone by dropping anything to the Maltese. Not renowned for their goalscoring exploits, Denmark will be happy with a comfortable three points and I think I’ll go with a similar spread to the England game; 3-0, 4-0 and 5-0. Pick 3: Wales The final pick is a tricky one, I’m tempted by Spain in Estonia and Belgium at home to Armenia but I’m going to go with Wales against Liechtenstein. The chances of Wales making South Africa in 2010 are fairly remote but if they’re to take anything out of the qualifying campaign they need to win these kind of games. Like England they’ll be looking to do so without losing a goal whilst netting a few in the process but they’re not as free-scoring as they’d like to be and I’ll be going for a slightly lower spread on this one of 2-0, 3-0 and 4-0. So onto the bet; to cover all bases it’s 27 bets. That’s 3 x 3 x 3 - you need to get a correct score in each of the games to win. Not every bookie takes this kind of bet online so it’s worth checking out before trying to place your bet. If you really want to maximise your potential earnings it’s advisable taking the time to put each of the 27 bets on individually - this can make a real difference to what you can win but you’ll probably need several accounts to get the best return. The best odds available at the moment are;

Re: 11/12th Oct: World Cup Qualifiers
Poland - Czech rep.
No bet game for me. Poland after some problems will be very hard opponent. And moreover I don´t like the nomination for this game, mainly offensive phase should be much better, our old/new coach (choleric assshole) absolutely ignores players like Necid (Slavia Praha) or Bednar (WBA). But he nominated out of form players Slepicka (Sparta), Fenin (Frankfurt), ok Baros (Galatasaray) is now in form, but Glatasaray is now very strong and it is much easier for him to score, but I´m glad that he finally showed something. The midfield is even weaker, only Sionko is very agile player with brain in his head, but he is more in attack than midfield, offensive brain would be Plasil (Osasuna), but it is not Rosicky or Nedved, it is only Plasil, he is not a bad player, but he never convinced me that he can replace some of the players mentioned above and the rest of the midfield is very weak. It looks like that we have no chance, but on the contrary we sometimes play much better with substitutes than with the big names (Germany at home 3:0), but this is game where i won´t put in my money. Poland at home is always strong, they have great fans - polski kibici Last edited by mord : 11-10-2008 at 13:15. |
