Looks like there are a few with low expectations of Scotland.

Re: World Cup Qualifying 6th September
Fuck me, Scotland 2.00 to win in Macedonia?
Thats one of the best lays I have seen for some time i have to admit and how Scotland justify those odds is beyond me. I would have had them around 7/4 minimum myself. Scotland have never travelled well. Infact its the 'smaller' nations they seem to struggle most against and put in poor performances and with Scotland's troubles here I can't really trust them. Macedonia seem to be a decent outfit and one of these developing nations who are getting more and more dangerous every year. Ridiculous odds for Scots although I still hope we win ![]() |

I would say tho that the importance of the Scotland call offs look to be a bit exaggerated. Ferguson and Hutton are huge blows of course, but they are longer term and we knew they were going to be missing a long time ago. The rest were unlikely to be getting a start - Thomson or Morrisson perhaps but most likely only a sub appearance, and Weir only if Burley felt compelled to pick him. There's an argument to say that bar the long term injuries, we've got a first choice team out. |

Thats getting close to a backable price now for sure. Ferguson missing is a bonus IMO. Has been a poor player ever since returning to Rangers. Is picked for both club and country purely due to who he is now and not performance based. |

Agree 100% with Beanie here with respect to the injury 'crisis' that everyone appears to be on about . A look at MACEDONIA'S competitive home record isn't too great either - Nov 17, 2007 European Championships Macedonia FYR 2 - 0 Croatia i Oct 17, 2007 European Championships Macedonia FYR 3 - 0 Andorra i Sep 12, 2007 European Championships Macedonia FYR 1 - 1 Estonia i Jun 2, 2007 European Championships Macedonia FYR 1 - 2 Israel i Nov 15, 2006 European Championships Macedonia FYR 0 - 2 Russia i Sep 6, 2006 European Championships Macedonia FYR 0 - 1 England i Aug 17, 2005 WC Qualifying Europe Macedonia FYR 0 - 3 Finland i Mar 30, 2005 WC Qualifying Europe Macedonia FYR 1 - 2 Romania i Feb 9, 2005 WC Qualifying Europe Macedonia FYR 0 - 0 Andorra i Nov 17, 2004 WC Qualifying Europe Macedonia FYR 0 - 2 Czech Republic i Oct 9, 2004 WC Qualifying Europe Macedonia FYR 2 - 2 Netherlands i Aug 18, 2004 WC Qualifying Europe Macedonia FYR 3 - 0 Armenia i Sep 6, 2003 European Championships Macedonia FYR 1 - 2 England i Jun 7, 2003 European Championships Macedonia FYR 3 - 1 Liechtenstein i Mar 29, 2003 European Championships Macedonia FYR 0 - 2 Slovakia i That win against CROATIA was acheived after the Croats had already qualified for EURO 2008 and were all hungover !!!! The other teams that were defeat by the at home were ANDORRA , ARMENIA + LICHTENSTEIN . I may be biased but surely SCOTLAND are a it better than that lot !! [watch this statement come back to bite me on the bum :groucho] SCOTLAND to win ![]() |

do not believe that they were drinking in half time![]() we needed a point then, and we had one until half time when we find out that we're qualified for euro, (Israel and Russia finished then) than boys decided to keep their precious legs healthy for Wembley, four days later, and Macedonians also played for their biggest popstar that died in car accident few weeks earlier, they wanted to win more then we did and they got it. Pitch was worst one that I have ever seen, Michael Phelps would be happy with that one, probably be jumping in it thinging it is dirty swimming pool ![]() on the other hand, Macedonians gave us lots of problems in the first game in Zagreb, when they took lead with great free kick, and then went defending, we went atacking like crazy after that, Srna scored equilizer at the beggining of the second half, and at the very end we score winning one. All in all, I woudn't go for Scotland win with confidence, even thoug I like Scotland, felt sorry for them when they lost against Italy, they deserved to go to EURO, but Italians, as allways are very lucky ![]() thinking draw @ 3,20 might satisfied both sides, well away one probably more..... |

Re: World Cup Qualifying 6th September
I'm on Scotland at 7/4. 11/10 was ridiculous but 7/4 is more like it. I know the heat wont help but the call offs aren't really that bad imo and we could nick this one
![]() enjoy the day SLaCk and dont try to keep up with them at the drinking ![]() |
