Re: 27th May - 1st June Internationals
Anyone got any info on Turkey game and Rep of Ireland tonight. Read somwhere that Holland playing strong side tonight, Van Der Saar , Van Nistelroy , Schnedier etc returning tonight. Turkey on paper look good and should beat Finland but need some team news etc As for Ireland looks a bit drawish but cant gauge how good Colombia are so come on guys what you got ??

Republic of Ireland (v Colombia 29/May/08): Kiely; O’Shea, Dunne, McShane, Delaney; Duff, Miller, Whelan, McGeady; Doyle, Keane (captain).
Found the team for tonight and look quite solid odds of 6/4 so maybe a small punt on the hw anyone out there agree ?? |

Re: 27th May - 1st June Internationals
EINDHOVEN, May 28 (International Friendly) - Holland coach Marco van Basten is set to bring out the big guns as his side step up their preparations for Euro 2008 with a friendly against Denmark on Thursday.
Ruud van Nistelrooy, Wesley Sneijder, Arjen Robben and goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar will all return to the Oranje squad after being rested for the 3-0 victory over Ukraine last weekend. "We are certainly going to use these players against Denmark,'' Van Basten confirmed. Holland it is then Cinny !! What you think about Ireland ? As previously stated im gonna have a bit of Turkey tonight !! |

Re: 27th May - 1st June Internationals
Im not sure if i could trust Ireland after their poor showing against the Serbs. I think im going to stick with a Turkey/Holland double myself, roughly 2/1 double. Both seem motivated and playing much poorer nations. Denmark have many injuries also.

Re: 27th May - 1st June Internationals
T&T vs England
I'm gonna be proved a mug as usual here but surely this is a perfect time for a demonstration of Capellos "winning mentality". Yes we've left some folk at home. Yes we're effectively off on the beach. Yes we weren't fantastic against the USA (although better than many an England game i've sat through of late). But this is T&T and the point the players need to understand from Capellos view surely is that you play the game as hard as you can regardless of allegedly inferior opposition. Surely a -1 win will be demanded by the boss. Add in a couple of players eager to prove their worth (although for the love of sainted mildreds undercrackers i don't know why Downing is playing not Young). Any way, i'm babbling. England AH -1 @ 1.75 |

Re: 27th May - 1st June Internationals
-1 is 2.3 on betfair, youre a mug already!
the price is so high as theres rumors of a diplomatic low scoring away win or draw to be had here, england are playing this game to try and win support from the caribbean nations when it comes to voting for the next world cup., they re also ding it to raise money for football in the region. i cant see them going all out, maybe its enough of a gesture to the locals that theyve even turned up, i just expect them to give the hosts far more respect than theyre capabilities deserve. all conspiracy theories though, maybe -1 at 2.3 is a superb bet and the worlds just full of cynics and paranoids |

Re: 27th May - 1st June Internationals
I think you'll find that's -1.5 on Betfair
I'd call you a mug but the commentators have just been going on about Kenwyne Jones' wrist problem when we saw his knee go at a decent angle. Compared to that your mugness is forgiven |

Re: 27th May - 1st June Internationals
I'll give them their due... T&T have improved beyond measure since the opening 15mins... Still expect another goal or two. If they let Theo at this lot they wont even see him.

Still a poor side it must be said and you have to think friendlies like this are a waste of time. |

Re: 27th May - 1st June Internationals
I stand erected.
England looking ok though, theres little more they need to do but could easily score again. I guess just turning up was enough of a diplomatic gesture on its own! |

Re: 27th May - 1st June Internationals
Most annoying thing so far is how poor Young has been since he's come on. Could do with a strong last 10 mins from him. The thought of being picked on merit is more than I can stand.
