Re: 15 May 19:30: Wales U21 v England U21

Wales U21 have been playing well in the UEFA qualifying group so the price of 5.0 with Stan James is worth considering , they top the group 10 after they beat France 4-2 with Ched Evans scoring a hatrick , Evans has been scoring for Norwich whilst on loan from Man City. Usually my money would be on England at this level but these youngsters have played well considering a few have played for the main team.

Brian Flynn has named a squad of 18 players for the Nationwide friendly international against England on Thursday May 15th 2008.

Returning from the senior squad are Wayne Hennessey, Neal Eardley, Lewin Nyatanga, David Edwards and David Cotterill. There is a recall for Nicky Adams. Squad meet up on Monday 12th May, both Darcy Blake, Aaron Ramsey and Jonathan Brown have not been considered due to FA Cup commitments. "Using a game against England as a warm-up shows how far we've come. Three years ago they beat us 4-0, but the way the lads have improved since then is a credit to them. I could have picked two squads, such is the strength in depth we have." - Brian Flynn.

Original squad line-up:
Goalkeepers: Wayne Hennessey (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Owain Fon Williams (Crewe Alexandra).
Defenders: Neal Eardley (Oldham Athletic), Chris Gunter (Tottenham Hotspur), Joe Jacobson (Bristol Rovers), Lewin Nyatanga (Barnsley*), Christian Ribeiro (Bristol City), Mike Williams (Wrexham), Rhys Williams (Middlesbrough).
Midfielders: Nicky Adams (Bury), Mark Bradley (Walsall), Jack Collison (West Ham United) , David Edwards (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Shaun MacDonald (Swansea City).
Forwards: Simon Church (Yeovil Town*), David Cotterill (Sheffield United*), Ched Evans (Manchester City), Sam Vokes (Bournemouth).

England Under 21 coach Stuart Pearce has named his squad for the friendly with Wales on 15th May.
The game at Wrexham's Racecourse Ground will be the Young Lions' last game of the season ahead of their next European Championship qualifier against Portugal in September.
The game does not clash with the senior side, who are in action later in May against USA and in early June against Trinidad & Tobago.
Therefore, the likes of Theo Walcott, Gabby Agbonlahor and David Wheater - who were named in the senior squad against France last time out - drop back down and have a fresh chance to impress.
Wolves winger Michael Kightly is also recalled after a recent stint of injuries.

England U21 squad: Joe Hart (Manchester City), Tom Heaton (Manchester United), Joe Lewis (Peterborough United), Matt Connolly (Queens Park Rangers), Martin Cranie (Portsmouth), Scott Dann (Coventry City), Danny Fox (Coventry City), Michael Mancienne (Chelsea) Ryan Shawcross (Stoke City) Andrew Taylor (Middlesbrough), David Wheater (Middlesbrough), Lee Cattermole (Middlesbrough), Adam Johnson (Middlesbrough), Michael Johnson (Manchester City), Michael Kightly (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Grant Leadbitter (Sunderland), Fabrice Muamba (Birmingham City), Mark Noble (West Ham United) Jamie O'Hara (Tottenham Hotspur), Gabriel Agbonlahor (Aston Villa), Dexter Blackstock (Queens Park Rangers), Fraizer Campbell (Manchester United), Theo Walcott (Arsenal).
