Well I doubt it was chosen with that purpose in mind, seeing as from what I can recall it was arranged when McLaren was still in charge.

Re: 4/7th Feb International Friendlies

With Rooney on his own up front v the Swiss, I see the most likely source of goals being Joe Cole and Stevie G for two reasons.

Firstly, Rooney will find himself furthest man forward and holding the ball up (no doubt with two defenders at his back). Nice positions to either lay it back to the midfielders for a shot or for them to bomb past him and wait for him to pick them out with a pass.

Secondly, England will be attacking wide down both flanks. Ideal for balls to be pulled back to the edge of the box for SG or JC or for balls crossed into the box to be headed out to the waiting SG on the edge of the box.

Both can be backed at 13/5 at anytime JC with Coral and SG with Skybet

I am realy sure he will make it work and see England in quoter, semi or even in final of WC. But too take the cup, there will be more required.
the best money of the world, nothing more, england is the paradise place for all, players and coaches because of river money, but i disagree, for me wenger is just a second ahead of those idiots , i wonder - how the hell they accept him -

no answer, because wenger is a totem for arsenal fans, for me? he is just an idiot french guy, beleiving too much in foreigners players

Re: 4/7th Feb International Friendlies

We've had French idiots in English football but none of them have created fantastic football like Arsene has.

Come to think of it, not many teams in other countries have created such great football as the French idiot either.

I suppose he's really lucky that Arsenal are stupid enough to keep him on.
