Re: 24-27th Jan: African Cup Of Nations - 2nd Group Games
Im abit disappointed in the ANC so far from a betting point of view. I thought the second set of fixtures might throw a few prices that floated my boat but nothing really. Im was looking to oppose Guinea and Zambia after the first games but the odds on Morocco are poorer than i expected.
As it is im going to go with over 2.5 goals in the game between Guinea and Morocco. I thought the Guinea defence was absolutely shocking against Ghana. Ghana hit the post 3 times and alot of damage was done by a League One striker, sorry Notts Forest fans. Guinea i think need to go for this one. Because of the way teams that tie is decided they will finish below Ghana should they finish on level points, unless of course three teams finish level on points in which case it will be goal difference but Morocco have racked up 5 already. So basically i think they have to go for it and i think we will see goals. Good luck.
Re: 24-27th Jan: African Cup Of Nations - 2nd Group Games
Guinea v Morocco
I think the odds are inflated here on Guinea, despite their poor showing against Ghana. The pitch was in an awful state in Accra, meaning Guinea's main playmaker, Pascal Feindouno, was unable to dictate play as well as he usually does. The pitch has apparently been sorted now, grass cut, etc so it should make for a more free-flowing game. Guinea looked far from solid at the back, but this was mainly against the aerial threat of the Ghanaians, something the Morocco don't possess a great deal of.
Morocco played brilliantly against a very poor Namibia side when going forward, but looked all too exposed at the back. Namibia didn't attack much, but when they did they were allowed enough time to get in some decent efforts on the Moroccan goal. As I've said, going forward Morocco were fantastic, but they face a different proposition against a well organised Guinea backline. Hattrick hero Soufiane Alloudi will also be missing from the final two group games after picking up a knock.
Guinea were poor against Ghana but I feel the pitch and the occasion (meeting the hosts infront of a packed Ohene Gjan Stadium in the first game) played it's part. Morocco outclassed a poor Namibian side, but still looked vulnerable at the back. Guinea will hopefully get their tournament back on track in this game and I'm taking similar bets on them that I did in the their first game.
Guinea to beat Morocco @ 4.50 - 1 point Guinea AH(+0.5) v Morocco @ 1.943 - 3 points
Re: 24-27th Jan: African Cup Of Nations - 2nd Group Games
Ghana v Namibia
Pretty poor odds on most things here, and probably rightly so after the Namibians abject performance against Morocco. I can't get involved in the handicaps or goal line betting as I feel Namibia may pack their defence and put up a bit more of a fight.
However, that's what I'm really hoping for, a bit of a fight. When the chips were down against Morocco, the Namibian players were putting in some very feisty challenges and I've a feeling they may do the same against Ghana. They were quite lucky not to have anyone sent off against Morocco, more of the same and we could see one of them walking!
Will a red card be shown in regular time? Yes @ 3.55(Exepkt)- 1 point
Re: 24-27th Jan: African Cup Of Nations - 2nd Group Games
Namibia were simply awful in their game against Morocco and the hosts really will be looking for a big win tomorrow night infront of their home fans. Morocco in my opinionaernt even on of the best teams in the tournament and as napoleon has said they were exposed at the back a few times but i dont think this will happen to Ghana.
Although themselves not having a stunning opening day game they left their winner late, a stunning strike from Muntari the decider however they bossed the game. Hopefully a better surface for the hosts too tomorrow as i reckon they can win this one quite comfortably and keep a clean sheet to boot.
Re: 24-27th Jan: African Cup Of Nations - 2nd Group Games
I agree with everything said above odds are poor so far in this comp so have gone for the draw in Guinea v Morocc as stated above Guinea need to get something out of this game, whether they can or not is another question. Ghana look like certs to me but whether they will get the necessary goals to back them up on the handicap is the question, may just leave this alone.
Re: 24-27th Jan: African Cup Of Nations - 2nd Group Games
Me thinks Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, Egypt & Cameroon as bankers, then 1 of 2 on Morocco & Tunisia is the best way to go. The 4 bankers are .. well.. bankers in my eyes, while the other two are most likely outcomes based on 1st round performances.
Yes, Guinea & South Africa both played well, but both cannot drive the ball easily to the back of the net. Guinea is up against one of the best defences in the continent, and their defence is not at best either.
South Africa would have been found had Angola not retreated back to defend their slim lead. It was only when Bafana Bafana scored the equaliser that Angola started to attack again, and it was a bit too late by then.
It "looks" like Nigeria are a better team than Mali, though both have been isappointing 9from a spectator's point of view) so I'm skipping this game or having a single on the draw with a minimum stake.
Senegal are -of course- a better side than Angola, but -again- I consider them a clone of Nigeria.. they may start whining about their money anytime now and once they do nothing's guaranteed. (Ok, if you must.. bet on Senegal too as a 3rd choice, so it becomes 4 bankers + 1/3)
Personally, I have limited resources though, so I only went for the bankers (4-fold) and will treat each other game separately.
Re: 24-27th Jan: African Cup Of Nations - 2nd Group Games
Thanks for all the info, chaps. I just popped in to see what you were saying about Guinea as the price caught my eye (I didn't see them against Ghana but did see a few, 'experts' claiming they were a useful side before-hand). Guinea +0.5 for me there I think.
... and Ceirtlis has done a good job of convincing me we may have goals in store (gulp). I see the over 2.5 is @ 2.00 so oi fink oil 'ave a leetle on that too.
Sorry I couldn't offer anything. I haven't been watching.

I'm going to go for Ghana -2 @ 5/6
the hosts were simply woeful tonight. Namibia could even have equalised not to mention the scrappy goal Ghana scored and it shouldnt even have been allowed for a foul in the build up the only good thing that came out of it was that ive Ivory Coast backed anti post, theres absolutely nothing to fear from Ghana, Toure will simply stick Gyan and Agogo in his back pocket! Looking good for the Ivorians!

Nigeria v Mali
Ivory Coast v Benin
The only thing I really remember from the first two games is being bored! Nothing really stands out at the moment so I'm just going to wait until the games start and an in-running bet or two!
Was just thinking there, the best type of "fuck off " is the following; You`re playing astro, 5 a side, someone shouts "handball" and the "fuck off" response is fucking class.
