The Epsom Derby

Well, for the most famous flat race in the world, I have plumped for The Geezer (currently 17's with Betfair, 3.8 for a place). I am not the world's greatest knowledge on horse racing, but a horse that finished 2nd to the ante post favourite Motivator on ground less than ideal in it's last race must be worth a small interest stake..

I am not a expert when it comes to horses , but will have an interest bet on the Derby - I fancy Dubawi but another that looked good in Chester Vase was Hattan who is 6.6 to be placed at betfair and 34 to win.

Well Motivator destroys the field with an awesome display..The Geezer just didnt have the speed to keep up with the pace and was stonecold last at the turn.. I suppose the distance wasnt the problem as he made up a quite a few lengths to finish 8th... Oh well - sticky to footy bets in future..

I try to avoid the horses now. I find it to be more of a lottery and hard to predict. I mean you get some good tipstars with horses and i hold a lot of respect for them, but my thinking is unless your the bee's knee's with horses dont bet!
