Sat 3rd Sep
I was hoping to get "stuck in" with no footy, but golf followed by another do means I will be keeping a low profile.
I've not spent much time on the race but I've risked my dosh. It's one of those races were I've probably looked too deep and the bleeding obvious will win. I've probably overstaked on this race, but although not rational, I've had a decent week and my betting today will be minimal after this race, win or lose. Hay 2.30 Nave 2 pts win @ 25/1 ( laddies) Blissfull Moment 1 pt win @ 10/1 ( laddies) Zuder Zee 1 pt win @ 8/1 (Will Hill) Poss N/R Johnson has 4 runners in this event, all 4yo at the bottom of the weights and De Sousa has chosen the obvious one in the improving Shernando. He looks ideal for the step up in trip but my feeling is he's best with cut and the forecast is for rain approx 4pm, which may go against him. If Zuder Zee was a N/R, I would expect a significant move for Shernando, as that would be an indication of a ground change. Nave is a bit of a flyer in that my hopes are pinned on his short interval form. Johnson does race them regularly and it may simply be a fluke, but his form is very good on the more here... Re: Sat 3rd Sep
guys,
tricky looking day with lots of tough looking handicaps so keeping it low key. in the ascot 345 i can;t help thinking that the mick dods runner WELL SHARP is way overpriced at 33's given its run over course and distance back in june when 3rd behind two horses which are to compete in next week's st. leger. gets a fair bit of weight from the market principles and could easily run well imo. earlier in the 315 race SWIFT GIFT for ed dunlop will surely come on for its seasonal debut recently and is another that can go well over a course and trip it has won at previously. the haydock sprint cup looks another tough race to call with plenty in with obvious chances including BATED BREATH of roger charlton's who has run with much credit all season and could finally land the big pot it deserves. 7/1 and a 3rd the odds a place at 365 is the call for me. finally in the thirsk hambleton cup at 400 the julie camacho BEAT THE RUSH might finally return to the form that made it look a horse to follow last year. this imposing 4yo gelding has cut no ice in its previous two outings this season but has been given a break and may well be able to step considerably on those performances. |
