Friday 19th August - Ebor festival Day 3........
Guys,
been busy of late but have the next two days free to take in the remainder of the great york ebor festival. some fascinating races to savour and will be having quite a few punts in the hope i get lucky. today's picks as follows: 200 THE FONZ almost impossible handicap to solve but im happy siding with last years winner who looks as if its been laid out for this and is a 1lb lower in the weights this year. the mighty fallon rides and i fully expect it to come with a telling late rattle. 230 SARDANAPALUS once raced 2yo from the kevin ryan stable that won an ordinary looking maiden eyecatchingly having lost many lengths at the start. will most definately have to step up on that performance here today to get involved but is very well regarded and with the stable's youngsters flying at present can go well at a decent price. 305 DUX SCHOLAR & WESTERN ARISTOCRAT another difficult but fascinating race to fathom and i can't decide between these two runners. the stoute colt looks a worthy favourite on its good newbury victory last time and should run its race whilst the noseda runner also looks a classy animal and is unexposed over this trip. 340 HOOF IT with both connections and jockey very bullish about this ones chances its hard to get away from despite the restrictive odds. its performance in the stewards cup was simply awesome lto and it can take the step up into group class in its stride here imo. the 2yo of wachman's Requinto could go well with its big weight allowance and the tim easterby trained Hamish McGonagall might surprise despite the big rise in class at its favourite track at a massive price. 415 CRYING WOLF top class maiden race that often throws up several future winners and whilst it is probably more of a watching event im interested in the godolphin debutant who do well with newcomers and judging by the early morning support for this one is expected to go well. 450 SHESASTAR yet another trappy handicap to round off day three of the festival and im taking a chance on this david barron filly who has been running very well of late and is still progressing. spencer takes the ride and hopefully will arrive late on the scene with a telling turn of foot. |
