All your thoughts in here please. I believe the scoop 6 plus bonus is going to be up around a million too if you have any thoughts on that as well

Re: Sat 16th July
Most of mine are for Tonight and as Yesterday, it will probably be a scatter - gun approach. Got bit and bobs of money in several accounts, so will just keep going till it runs out
2:00 Newmarket - GRIZZLE and HEERAAT -Diamondhead, was always likely to be Favourite, but too short for me. Just reversing the 2 mentioned, as both stables can get one ready. 2:15 Ripon - SHOW OF FAITH - Nicely bred Ed McMahon 2yo, so an automatic one for me. The stable has perhaps been a touch disappointing this Year, but always a threat with their debutantes. Hopefully back on later with the rest, as the weather could easily change conditions and selections. |

Re: Sat 16th July
guys.
quiet day for me with not much taking my fancy and severe doubts with regards to the going at all the tracks given the amount of rain around the country today. one that i have backed overnight is the tim easterby trained 3yo KING OF THE CELTS in the feature race at ripon (325) which is having its first run in a handicap after finally losing its maiden tag lto after several attempts previously. this one gets in here off bottom weight and whilst it may not at first glance look a progressive type i do believe it holds a solid enough chance given the price it is. being out of french derby winner celtic swing i would also definately expect it to go well on the sofening underfoot conditions. all in all it looks a pretty good each way play at 16's Last edited by tykepunter : 16-07-2011 at 10:56. |

Re: Sat 16th July
Just gone to back KING OLAV in the 420 at Market Rasen and it's gone from 11/4 to 2/1 in the last 20 minutes or so. There is some 9/4 about but not with the BOG bookies.
On it for 20pts. I expect the price to bounce out nearer the off so will take the 2/1 and kick myself |

Re: Sat 16th July
picked another couple to go with the celt for an each way patent to small stakes:
newbury330 LILYS ANGEL could be the pick of the weights on what it has achieved thus far and can see it being there at the business end of the race for sure. newbury510 YEMENI PRINCESS has a significant absence to overcome but could be ahead of the handicapper and hails from a very shrewd gambling stable. would be very interesting if there is money for this one late on. |

Re: Sat 16th July
Just watching At The Races and one of their market movers is Now my Sun in the 520 at Haydock which opened up at 16/1 and 20/1 and is now best priced 9/2 (most bookies showing 4/1).
I'd say the value is well and truly gone on that one though. |

Re: Sat 16th July
2:55 Newbury - Do like the FV, but have to oppose at the price. I am going with BYRONY and adding ROSEWOOD LAD and SONNING ROSE for a combo f/t/ cast

Re: Sat 16th July
3:30 Newbury - Backed around 10 of these so far this Year, so can't get too seriously involved. Narrowed it down to 3 and all really should go well -
MENTION IMPASSIVE PONTY ACCLAIM |

Re: Sat 16th July
4:40 Curragh - AN SAIGHDUR - Never been sure about this one's best trip, but definitely has the ability. Has bagged a good draw today and the stable is in decent nick. First time blinkers, will hopefully bring about more improvement and could go well at 12's.

Re: Sat 16th July
5:20 Newmarket - SUTTON VENY - IMO this one is a match for any of her competitors, so has to be of interest off bottom weight ( with a 7lb claimer as well ). Does have some form on softer ground, but arguably, the less rain the better. Been in such rotten form lately that I have had to reign myself in a bit, but I definitely like this one. Reversed it with TAAJUB as well.
5:40 Ripon - PLAYFUL GIRL - Convinced this one has ability, but really has not shown it yet. Quite short therefore at around 10's, so obvioulsy more is expected. 6:55 Lingfield - PRIVATE OLLEY - Does not even have a place to his name on turf, but is at least better off than on the AW. Has suddenly sprung into life before and looks the sort to pop up when least expected. No obvious reason why he should be any worse on turf and happy to take a chance at 28's. |

Re: Sat 16th July
SUTTON VENY a non runner and Playful Girl a nice winner. Just having a small forecast in the first at Haydock -
6:40 Haydock - SEA ODYSSEY DARK AGES |

Re: Sat 16th July
7:10 Haydock - DOUBLE BASS - Had a nice winner from a Godolphin 2nd string yesterday and there are a couple of these tonight. This one is certainly well enough bred and could easily go close. The same goes for HARRIER HILL in the 7:25 at Lingfield
