Managed a profit Yesterday, with a nice winner and a nice forecast. Most of my main bets are for tonight, including some for the big jackpot meeting -

5:50 Ballinrobe - BROG AN RI - Usually reliable at this sort of level and whilst rated better over hurdles, is still a decent flat sort. Touch over - priced IMO at 11's.

7:15 Newbury - BALLYEA - Related to plenty of winners and comes from a top stable. Looks quite decent on paper and ought to be on the premesis.

7:45 Newbury - ROYAL OPERA - Not been at his best as of late, but is sliding down the handicap. Holds several decent pieces of juvenile form and has a chance if he can re - find that. First time visor should help and no problem with the Mile trip. Bit of a reach maybe at 33's, but definitely a lively outsider.

8:50 Newbury - REBECCA ROMERO - Pretty reliable 5f sort, who goes on the ground and holds several decent pieces of form. Richard Hughes stays loyal and can't see an obvious reason why she should not run well.

Going to take a chance on bottom weight Boogie Dancer in this at big odds (40.0 / 9.4 BF, 33/1 bookies). She hasn't ran on turf on the flat for 4 years but since then she has gone down in the handicap from 67 to 46, yet her hurdles rating has gone up from 90 to 109, so is clearly well handicapped if she can transfer that ability to the flat.
I think they might go off too quickly here (apprentice hcap) which would suit, and she was possibly unsuited to the deep surface at Kempton last time.
Could easily finish last but looks too big to me at those odds and worth a go.

Backed two here...
Cashmere Or Caviar - ran okay on debut, his trainers FTO 2yo's have been needing the run, so will improve today. Managed 33/1 earlier to small stakes ew, currently 20.0 at BF.
My Sharona was behind 2nd fav Rafaella on debut but was much more poorly drawn than that one and might reverse form - looks too big at 24.0.

Just the 2 places for me. BALLYEA, was very short on the early prices, but opened up at a surprising 6's and ended up 3rd at 13/2. ROYAL OPERA, was widely available at 33's in the morning, but opened shorter at 20's. He was then backed into 11's, but could only finish 2nd ( led a long way, but the winner was always going well ). Of the other BROG AN RI was 5th and REBECCA ROMERO was 4th.
