Good Saturday was swiftly followed by a couple of shockers. Looking to get back on track with the following :-

2:10 Leicester - MUTAYASER - Looks the part on paper and by Shamardal, so should appreciate the soft ground. Top owner, Top trainer, top jockey nad should go close.

3:00 Ripon - JIBAAL - 2nd run was arguably his best with both those in front of him going on to win next time out. ( Wooten Bassett won his next two starts and this one was FAV to beat him ). Related to plenty of winners and these connections are always to be feared. Bottom weight Maggie May worries me, but just think this one might prove to be a cut above.

6:10 Southwell - OLD MONEY - I have stated on several occasions that the Morrison stable is always worth a look at Southwell. Three of them are in Today and odds on that I will pick the wrong one. One piece of form stands out with her and that is the run behind Bint Doyen. The winner has ended up on 82 and the 4th Cansili Star went on to win 3 out of 5 ( ended up on a mark of 93 ) The 5th Tuscan King has been heavily raced, but has managed 5 wins, although at a more modest level. By Mediciean as well, so the surface should suit.

6:25 Folkestone - HI NOTE - Bit of a surprise that this one went off at 16/1 on debut ( RP forecast was nearer 4's ) and subsequently started very slowly. Not knocked about as a result, but did show a glimmer of ability. Good mix of speed and stamina in the pedigree and interesting that she is immediatley stepped up a furlong. Will improve for the experience and might be worth taking a chance on this at around 16's.
