2.10 Warwick

2.10 Warwick - I think the market has got the two Hannon runners the wrong way around, predictably because R Hughes is on Piece of Mind this one is shorter than his stablemate Aldwick Bay, but looking at the breeding there are strong stamina concerns regarding the former. Experience has taught me never to discount the 2nd string, especially a 2yo from Hannon's yard, so Aldwick Bay looks the value.

Also fancy Waterborne - this one finished well beaten on debut at Newbury but this is a drop in class (the maiden was much faster than it's other division) and 2yo runners from this yard do very well on their 2nd outing (21%).

The fav Kingarrick should go well and wouldn't be surprised if it won but I am happy to let it go at 7/4.

Got my pre-race trading right (for a change) as I layed Piece of Mind at 4.4 (now 6.8) and backed Aldwick Bay at 9.4 (now 7.8) and Waterborne at 10.5 (now 9.6), which allows me to have a saver on the fav to break even if it wins.

Re: 2.10 Warwick

Broke level on race with fav winning, although lost in the place market as I layed Piece of Mind in the final furlong at 1.1 as I was sure the 3rd would catch him (it didn't). My opinion that the Hannon runners were priced the wrong way around was backed up by the late betting as they flip-flopped as Aldwick Bay heavily backed into 4/1, but the drifter beat the shortener.
