Wednesday's Selections
Must first give a word of warning as apart from Byrony all other horses are 16's or more.
3:30 Lingfield - SHEMITA'S SONG - By US Sire Songandaprayer and from a very useful middle distance family. Forecast at 14/1 in the Racing Post, but currently available at 50's. Yes this the Horse's debut, but the price is still too big. Sire's progeny do also win FTO.
5:00 - Lingfield - EXCELLENT THOUGHT - Finished either 2nd or 3rd on all of her starts as a juvenile and achieved some good form in the process. Poor looking re - appearance LTO, but hoping it was just a sharpener. Did get beat a fair way, but it was also a decent race for the grade, with the 1st, 2nd and 4th all winning since.
6:50 Kempton - BYRONY - Backed and tipped this one on here on a couple of her first 3 starts. Ran OK on each occasion and did show improvement.. Mark of 70 looks very fair and Ryan Morre booked. FAV looks an obvious danger, but not too worried about anything else.
7:50 Kempton - CLAIMANT - Only had 3 runs and his first worthwhile form was LTO. Only the one positive to glean from that form and that is that he had subsequent winner SPANISH ACCLAIM, 2 Lengths behind. Trip looks OK, ( though may want just a touch further ) has scope for improvement and not harshly treated off 67.
I will also be looking to play on the exchanges on DAURICA, in the 3:40 at Uttoxeter. This one has been a no show on her last 4 starts, but is back now to a feasible weight. Interesting now that on her first realsitic opportunity for a while, that connections hace upped her to 3 Mile.
