Saturday's Selections

Two of my decent winners from last Week ( Snow Dancer and Mejd ) are both in again today. Bravely or stupidly I am ignoring both ( SD should struggle off a mark of 75 and the course may not suit Mejd )

Plenty of action today and a struggle to get it down to 4. My selections are as follows :-

2:05 Nottingham - SCANTILY CLAD - Very much bred for the job and with my Favouite Juvenile trainer Ed McMahon. Stable more than capable of readying a newcomer and significant that she is only 9/2.

2:40 Fairyhouse - PENCIL HILL - Well backed last time ( 7/2 - 2/1 ), but never really going and eased when beat. Step back up to 6, is a positive and has found a very winnable race.

3:20 Chester - MASAMAH - C and D Winner, who is once again drawn in a position to attack. Showed for a long way in the Wokingham ( before fading ) and the drop back in trip is a plus. Down a pound, first time tounge tie fitted and looks a value alternative to the FAV.

7:35 Hamilton - BEES RIVER - Backed this one, the last twice and showed enough LTO, to go in again. Kept on, final Furlong that day and the stiff uphill finish should suit. Dropped another pound, first time cheekpieces fitted and good claimer booked.

my mate is on his way to chester this morning , he got this horse as a tip , its in a 5 furlong race , low numbers in the draw is a big plus in the sprints here i'm told
4:30 Welsh Inlet ...he's got a W Carson on his back , has he come out of retirement?

Horrendous so far, but I doubt either gave their true running ( Pencil Hill a big disappointment ). At a price I am going with the Godolphin 2nd string EMIRATES CHAMPION in York's 3:05. The horse is 3/5, won over the Winter in Dubai and just looks too big at 25's.

Ironic that the 2 I mentioned and did not back both ran well. Snow Dancer is obviously in good form and MEJD, looks a very useful performer. Last chance for me Today with Bees River, Currently trading at 9 on Betfair

Fav being backed a bit, but Bees River is down to 7 on Betfair.

Another shocker sadly, Bees River got upset in the stalls and whilst he did lead ( and trade at 4 on Betfair ), he was soon beaten.
