Seen place bets

I've been doing quite well backing outsiders in the place market to small stakes, will put the selections on this thread and work out the returns using the BF place SP to £5 stakes.

I am fully aware that the forum curse will ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEE these will now start bombing embarrassingly, but who cares? It's only money.

All selections based purely on form, only rules are that BF pay at least 3 places and the win odds are at least 10/1 (so the place odds are going to be roughly 2/1 or bigger).

ticking along nicely, it can't last though, the forum curse must have missed this thread. Could have been even better as CHANTILLY PEARL just missed out on a place (finished 5th, 4 places) at 6.4 in the 4.10.

I'm working winnings out using the BF place SP from the Timeform results, and deducting 5% commission.

I did say in the first post that the qualifiers would all be at least 10/1, therefore ensuring the place odds would be at least 2/1....however a couple today were well backed late on and started shorter than 10/1 (AL JAADL and BERMONDSEY BOB) which meant their place odds were a bit crap (5/4 and 7/4). Ironically these two both finished unpl. I don't really want to be going with shorties, so from now on if any horse starts with the place odds less than 3.0 it's a non-qualifier. I place my bets right at the off so not a problem for me.
