Re: Cheltenham Ante Post 2010
Here's what i've back antepost, when theres a quiet racing day in the next few days ill put up some thoughts about them and maybe some other races....
Arkle - Somersby 12/1 World Hurdle - Sentry Duty 16/1 Supreme - Oscar Whiskey 20/1 Champion Hurdle - Celestial Halo 12/1 Not backed it yet but What A Friend 5/1 without Kauto Star and Denman interests me a little, question marks over pretty much everything else in the race except the front two. |

I think Kauto Star and Denman is going to be a good match at cheltenham this year, closer than the rivalry has ever been. I read the other night that there is rumours Tony McCoy has been offered to ride Denman in the Gold Cup, but he denies it on the link at the bottom of the post. Either way I would have to opt for Denman, always have been a fan and if tony does ride him, 2/1 would be a steal.
Denman to win the Gold Cup with William Hill 9/4 Not allowed to post url to sporting life but will do later on. |

I am looking for peoples bet of the whole cheltenham festival, particularly strong fancies should be noted.
Zaynar - BJ Geraghty - Champion Hurdle 5/1 If Barry decides to ride then definately a steal. |

Re: Cheltenham Ante Post 2010
I cannot wait for the Gold Cup, i booked the day off as soon as i got my new holiday entitlement at the begining of the year (even ahead of Englands world cup fixtures), I just cant think of another sporting occasion i'd rather see this year.
Denman and Kauto, it has to be a classic. For me i think Kauto will win, i think he's more likely to, but truth is i'm fingers crossed for THE TANK..Denman, i really hope Denman wins it. Denman's prep race has now been confirmed in Aon Chase at Newbury on February 13... Aon for Denman as Nicholls rules out Argento run - Horse Racing News | Racing Post Yep, i've not been as excited about this race since Dessie won it in '89.... |

yeah i see how he now confirms he's going to ride denman, which will now make it a fairer run race. Than having amatuer jockeys, could never put serious money on Sam Thomas or others like that. But know i think it is a coin flip, if denman is going to beat Kauto Star it will be with the champ jockey on board, 9/4 big price if he runs well on Sat. |

Re: Cheltenham Ante Post 2010
He should win Saturday Milser, He's a C+D winner and it's not the toughest of races looking at the card...

Re: Cheltenham Ante Post 2010
Very interesting events this past weekend with regards to Denman. I didn't think the horse looked too happy... he didn't really travel too comfortably in my eyes. I think lots of horses do that under AP though. The big build up we had hoped for is gone I reckon. It's Kauto's to lose now.

Re: Cheltenham Ante Post 2010
Will McCoy be on Denman for the festival also? Probably the answer will be "yes", I just haven't checked the news yet. There was a pole at RP recently about who should ride Denman and most of the opinions were divided between AP, B. Geraghty and J. Maguire. I still think Barry Geraghty would have been the right choice.
Anyway what happened the other day will probably cause a significant drift of Denman's price and if he gets back on track till the Festival we could have some good value on him. |
