Match Bets
Does anybody ever bother with these? Not been something I've taken seriously in the past with the low limits the high street will let you have on them if you win, Betfair have been doing them a while now and they love me throwing cash into there shitty markets.
Was thinking last night I'll try some today.. Sadly these arent liquid markets until near the off so I've got a program to put my bets down for me once the back and lay sides of the markets get within 6% of each other, so wont know any prices until close to the off time. AYR 3:25 Aleat v Lochiel 5:45 Toshi v I Music NEW 5.00 Watson v Norman REDCAR 2:50 Master v Mystif 4:10 E Show v Five The weird horse names are cut and pasted of Betfair, think I'll stick £10 on each, even though I've hardly done these before I dont mind spending £50 on it as I'd be shocked if I lost more than about £10 by the time the last one goes. If I get anything out of this I'll maybe put a couple on for the evening racing too. Much interest in these guys?

I've taken a few match bets from time to time but the bookies odds are very very skinny and it's been rare to find a price that's worthwhile taking. Obviously, you won't have a problem with betfair but as you say, the liquidity is no good early on and I can't be arsed to sit around waiting for the price to be right.
Good luck with you bets today. Lochiel is a non runner, the second one I doubt that you will get matched, the third one is the 530 not the 5 oclock.

Holy fuck, I just tried something else then back dated it across all of todays betfair match bets, I wouldve won in every single handicap race bar one
Why couldnt I of done that yesterday? Mix of Favs and Outsiders, odds can range from 1.4 - 3.5 from what I can estimate, the one that lost wouldve actually been the shortest price of the day, so maybe it wouldve been a fluke.Wont have time to post up selections tomorrow, but I will Monday if they do aswell as today, just a watching brief for me. Even if a handful of the outsiders come in it could be a laugh, have to admit I did enjoy watching the match bets run more than watching full races the day before.

thing is seen, i enjoy watching match bets win or lose, so i should probably give it up.
thats why i gave up poker enjoyed it too much
