Sandown - Thurs

I've done the Sandown card and have arrived at the following selections....

2.10 - ART CORRESPONDENT (nap) looks a good bet here, a big horse who wasn't suited to sharp Windsor on his debut where he found trouble before staying on well. This stiff track will suit much better and he can take this. His 2 main rivals in the betting, DOCTOR PARKES and HAWKSPUR, both ideally need further and 4th fav VERLEGEN's form is regressing and didn't appear to like fast ground on her 2nd start.

2.45 - A tricky race with a fav that could be a class above but at current odds I think BOSUN BREESE is worth a small bet - most of these are hold-up types and Hughes might be able to slip the field from the front.

3.20 - I'm laying the fav HONEST QUALITY here as she's a small type not certain to improve for this extra furlong, and 6 of her 7 rivals have already won a race, and most should be able to at least match her. My selection is ISABELLA GREY after an impressive win last time. This 7f will suit. One at huge odds which might surprise is SHAWS DIAMOND....she is the only maiden in the field but hasn't that much improvement to find and her 100/1 odds on BF look way too big, worth a go win & place.

rest to follow....

The fact that it's 'BREESE' not 'BREEZE' rather takes the gloss of what would have been a strong contender for gag of the year.

Aye, you've had yer weetabix this morning, aintcha?

3rd race - my lay just held on to win and my ew bet ran above her odds but couldn't quite grab 3rd place after being hampered - wasn't that far away though so ran well.

Watched Honest Quality's win, Seen, and also had a small dabble on the steamer Beat Seven, how couldn't it hold on
