First Look 3.50 Hamilton catches the eye:

Monteith has won with this one on the flat in Germany over 12 and 14f and has placed him well in hurdles races in the last few months: only out of the prize money once in his 6 races - after being raised to [130] for some excellent performances.

Races off a lowly [68] over this 13f trip today and surely has returned to flat racing because the trainer realises how well in he is, and he is probably reluctant to continue his hurdles campaign on generally firmer going at this time of year.

The RP tissue of 8/1 is optimistic to be kind - i expect this one to go off at about 5/1, and that's still value for an EW banker.


Dorn Dancer 5.0 Hamilton makes a quick reappearance after running a blinder from a hopeless draw at Nottingham 4 days ago: finishing 4L clear of another of my notebook sprinters who was also badly drawn - with 3L to the next badly drawn. The RP tissue of 5/1 Fav is high given her plum draw and no penalty for her last run: i shall be lumping on this one if i can get 7/2+

I think Winston is bound to have at least one winner today at Hamilton.

He rode a winner at Newmarket yesterday and surely he could have had more rides there today so with him travelling up to Hamilton looks info in itself.

Well the RP tissue of 5/1 was way out Bkm: best priced 11/4 with Lads was hoping for 7/2 mind...First Look is available at 13/2 though (i think 5/1 is fair)

Well a mixed day:

Dorn Dancer wasn't available at 7/2 so happily i only included it in a double - this horse was on the wrong side of the course again after rainfall switched the bias, so will surely be better odds next time - one to bet on until it wins or gets raised in the weights.

I took the 13/2 odds EW on First Look and, as expected, it was bet in to 9/2 and came 2nd.
