Re: Racing Monday 9th July

Good luck ODM, was that another winning day i see yesterday

Just one for me tomorrow, in the last race of the day.

Ripon 9.25 Moheebb

The horse ran just a couple of days ago, this looks a bit tougher but I think trainer D.Chapman has a good horse here. The trainer has a strike rate of 1 out of 2 at Ripon this year (+10.00 profit).
A different trip this time and on soft instead of heavy but I like what I’ve read (mainly the in running comments). I’ve backed @ 11.00 to win which I think is a much bigger price than what it’s likely to go off at (though I’ve been wrong before) and @ 2.5 to place

From the Racing Post

Analysis from last race
Moheebb, who had one run over 7f last year when trained by Marcus Tregoning, made a fine comeback and produced a solid run in the closing stages. He looks an interesting horse.

Comments in running
Moheebb
in rear, pushed along and ran green 2f out, rapid headway over 1f out, ridden to chase winner inside final furlong, kept on

Spotlight - tonight’s race
Moheebb
Down the field in one start for Marcus Tregoning last summer and not much expected dropped to 5f (weak maiden) on his debut for new connections on Saturday; however, came home well and each-way claims if turned out again.

Machiavellian(USA) (9.1f) - Rockerlong (Deploy(11.8f)) (160,000gns) 2nd foal, half-brother to Saratoga, unplaced over 1m at 3; dam smart 11f winner at 3, placed in Yorkshire Oaks, half-sister to high-class 2yo Glatisant, dam of 2,000 Guineas winner Footstepsinthesand, family of high-class 2yo Superstar Leo

I've both these in my sights for today aswell. Cotton Eyed Joe should be alot better now stepped back upto 1m6f, trip was too short lto, booking of Spencer is probably a positive aswell.(although if Ryan was was doing the steering, i'd have the mortgage on )

additional bets for today

bath
4.45 Dermatraf
5.15 Diminuto

Re: Racing Monday 9th July

Ideally - 3.45 Bath - around 5's - Result Dead-heated
The ground I think will be in the horses favour, holds an entry to a competitive 0-85 hcap at Chester (good/soft at the mo) over todays distance.

Vanquisher - 4.15 Bath - around 5's and Sister Agnes 12's - both unplaced
Carrying top weight 9-7 has run well carrying over 9st previously, capable in this race.Sister Agnes can plod on for a place here.

Re: Racing Monday 9th July

A couple of nice winners there ODM

8.05 - NIGHTSPOT - With 3 runs so far this season producing 1 win and two 2nds theres no doubt NIGHTSPOT has hit a vein of form which can ,hopefully, be continued tonight.
Distance of 10f on Good ground should hold no fears and the 32 day break since it's last run should also not prove to be a hinderance as it has won when fresh .
Although rising again in the weights [ won of 68 ,now up to 73 ] it has won off 81 and been close 2nd's when rated in the low 80's.
EMERALD WILDERNESS will probably start Fav , but with only one win to it's name [dh in a 6 runner H'cap on the AW] and ,IMO , doubts over getting the distance ; I think it could be worth taking him on with NIGHTSPOT.

Re: Racing Monday 9th July

right I have to add mine for tonight

7.05- Encores - Newmarket winner and still on a decent mark
7.35- Oakley Heffert - In form stable and ran really well here in penultimate start
7.55- Ballet Boy - Can take this from the well supported Bollin Felix with a forecast too
8.05 - Parnassian - I dont like the forecast fave and this ones last run was very pleasing

Re: Racing Monday 9th July

Diminuto came in @ 10/1 for me earlier,

fancy Cavallini in the 7.35 windsor

and El Bosque in the 8.25 @ Ripon, both are 4/1.
