When can you ever play these bar on 1 bet on the way round? should you ever play them? Say you were on the button with 22. would you go for the big 8 bets on it or would you really just never do anything bar see the cheapest flop?
May i mention i play suprisingly tight (ooer). Its all about situations and once youve been in situations a few times you learn how to deal with them. Your a hunter gatherer so you get some in and then when you think the time is right you make people doubt themselves. All situations and timing. Its like playing the guitar.
Personally I think these type of threads are a waste of time (no offence komp). Someone can't really say what you would do with 22 as you could do various different things with it, depending on how the folk on the table were playing. If you're early will you get away with limping it? From same position will your raise be respected? etc etc etc.
nah your right Sid and i was drunk. I was just interested in possible sitations when you could/should play them. I dont even limp with them now. Well thats a lie. 1 bet and no more preflop. So would you never go h2h with someone with a pair of twos under any circumstances?
Personally I would always be hoping to see a flop with 22, becomes huge if you hit. Wouldn't be risking too many chips to see the flop but would be happy to call a small preflop raise with 22. If I was in late position and nobody went before me I'd play it the same way as I would any other pair.
Like I said yesterday though, really difficult to comment with any accuracy to these kind of threads, every table different and your actions could vary substantially depending on whats went on before etc.
